Dude if you haven't done this already then you have not been camping. I have tried them all. Get one with a battery operated pump. That way you can charge them in the night when they leak.

We've got 3 Aero bed all-terrain units and so far, no leaks. I run the pumps off 12v and they blow up firm in just a couple minutes. I'd buy again.

Those big air matresses are fine for summer camping and kids, but they have very little insulating properties.

Maybe I will give the All-Terrain a try. I have heard that air mattresses can be a problem when it is cold out. I'm lucky to get my wife in a tent when it is 75 deg. and sunny let alone in cold weather.

We camped in Yellowstone last summer and it dropped to the low 40's at night and the air mattresses were fine. I'm no outdoors expert but aren't you supposed to be insulated from heat-absorbing elements like the ground.....a four-inch cushion of air serves that pupose nicely.

I'm not surprised. Most people I know who use them only put sheets on them and use them with blankets and comforters. I've always used mine with a sleeping bag and don't notice the cold as much as when I'm on the ground or pickup bed. The inside of them is a big chamber of air and it will form air currents in it that will take heat away from you.

We have a coleman and an ozark trail. The ozark trail is cheaper and hasn't went flat over night during the 3 years we've had it. The coleman does go flat, we let the kids have that one. We also picked up a double action high volume pump to air them up with.
