The nato cans I have carried inside of rigs have not released any fuel smell at all, they are great.

But....

The cheap spout that I have has no vent so it takes minutes to empty one 20 liter can. It sucks to have to hold that heavy ass can up there for that long.

Are the genuine Wedco spouts vented at all?

I use the non-CARB Wedco mounted sideways and haven't had any leaks. I do have some Scepter water cans I picked up used from the local Army/Navy surplus store. While there, I noticed several others with the seam ripped out. I can't imagine what it would take to rip the seam out of one of those. I figure it was either full and froze or run over by a HUMMER. Has anybody else seen how this is done ?

Carried a 5 gallon Wedco gas can inside the rig for 3 months recently and never smelled any vapors.

You are going to laugh but i got one at Harbor Freight last year for 40 bucks......dam good can it has some kind of a spill proof spout even when the spout is assembled and you think you are ready to pour.

You have to push down on the top then the gas will come out. THIS THING WILL NOT LEAK

I bought the Wedco can with the $10 spout and am a little disappointed with the spout's mounting. Looks like it will fall off the can at the first dime I run over. Here's a couple of photos. Maybe I'm not doing it right??

The mount thingy sucks. Get some velcro straps and stick it on there.

Also, no spout works as well as a super siphon does.
