Thermette Boilers or similar......

Who has one of the famous water boilers like the Thermette

or the Kelly Kettle

Is something like that on the US market for a fair pricing and what are your experiences?

i tried to buy a Thermette lst month from the US distributor, but they were out of inventory until the first of feb. I don't mind the size as it would be an emergency and car camping item. There are a ton of reviews on the kelly kettle on the net. Most say that they leak a little, but work great. Either way I think it would be a very cool to have. I'll order one or the other sometime next month.

I use a ZZstove as long as you can have a fire in CA. The BBQ grill it comes with is great too.

I have the Kelly Kettle and I like it a lot, but it can be hard to get the fire started if the sticks/leaves are damp. A little lamp oil on a napkin helps a lot. But once it gets going, it boils water in no time. It is pretty big, so that is a disadvantage relative to small stoves like the JetBoil. I like the fact that you don't have to carry a special fuel for it though. I got mine at Garrett-Wade.
