ALF: Oh, by the way, don't bother looking for your laxative on a rope.
Willie: Oh, you mean my soap on a rope?
ALF: Trust me on this one...

+++

Willie: Go, go back to the tent!
ALF: It's to dangerous out there, I had to kill a fifty foot snake with my pocket knife!
Willie: There are no fifty foot water snakes in the backyard.
ALF: I'm telling ya, it was bright green and it spit water. Ths Ths (spiting water sound).
Willie: That was my new garden hose.
Alf: Oh, no wonder it was sucking on the spiket!

Jim,

I did get it and many thanks for the good input. It definitely helped us land on the Mi-8 vs. the Mi-6. Can't wait to receive it and give it a good outing or two. Should be plenty big enough to accomodate my little ones (plus a few of their friends) over time as they grow.

Thanks again,
-dogboy- '87 FJ60

Jusr rec'd my Mi6 (4 person)---of course I had to set it up in the yard right away. Sets up very fast and is one roomy and beefy tent. Many thanks to Kevin for offering such a great product at a great (read: discounted!) price.

Well I used the big one that alf sent me this last weekend. It's an mi-9 - 8 man.
4 adults stayed in it and only took up half. Very roomy. Just as easy to set up and take down as the Mi-8 that I borrowed from 2bad. Didn't rain this time so no review of that again. It barely fit on the tent pad.

Oh yea, had about 5 people (non 4wheelers) asking about it. Apparently it is also a campground conversation piece.

Heya Alf.

I was pointing a friend to the OZTENTS and noticed they don't display them (MI - series) on the website anymore. Do they still make them? What's the story?

Wesintl,

I got the official word last night from Oz that they have discontinued the MI series. I am looking into purchasing the rights to the design and mfg but this may be more than I can take on but we shall see.

Freakin awesome tent.
Went up fast, came down with a learning curve, but it's a 5 minute deal I'm sure once I get used to it.

Alf,

I forgot to take some pics, but my Mi-6 I got from you rocks. I used it on the weekends in the Shenandoah National Park when my SAR team assists the SNP Rangers on the weekends with EMS, rescue and SAR tasks.

The tent was dubbed "the Castle" because of its size. Those larger tents must be enormous. We were joking that the Mi-6 fits at least 4 adults. But with all our SAR-related gear, we got 2 adults in it.

I think I've seen the same style tent advertised in UK under the brand or manufacturer "Highland" or "Highlander." If I can find the link I'll post it.
