Yeah.
I lug around an outback oven while backpacking:

I love it. One of my favorites is to bake up a spice cake, and then cover ti in marshmallows, invert my stove over it and toast 'em.

Peach rhubarb cobbler is another favorite. And biscuits! Biscuits are the meaning of life.

Haven't ventured beyond the cast iron yet. Cobblers and sometimes burnt pineapple upsidedown cake are our favorites.

I have heard that coal positioning is the key to a great pineapple upside down cake. I am getting a dutch oven in a couple days and I hope to try a pineapple upside down cake.

That was my first baked good in a DO.

No association, other than them being my brothers in scouting, but here's a good info page on coals:

A proper pineapple upside down cake has to flirt with burnt to taste right, you have to develop a good carmel.

definitely.
You need those rings caramelized, and a nice crunchy "bite" on the top of the cake.
