'95 Chevy Cavalier question

Quick question: '95 Chevy Cavalier. Pretty much base model, I think. Don't know if it has the 2.2 or 2.3L engine, but it is a 4 cyl. Is this a belt or chain engine? Interference or non-interference valvetrain?

I have the VIN, if that helps. I can't get to the car.

Thanks...

edit: ran the VIN, this is a Z24, 2.3L engine.

This is the quad 4 engine. It is belt driven and has an interferance valvetrain.

Hmmm... every on-line parts dealers show a timing chain kit available for this engine, no timing belt.

That's crazy the quad 4 engine is belt driven. I've worked on them. I have seen the cyl head with bent valves from the belt breaking.

AllData says it is a chain driven DOHC with a tensioner.

It says that GM does not specify if it is an interference engine or not.

Well I know for sure that it is an interferance engine since I have worked on them with bent valves. From the pistons smashing into them.
