Toyota Rocks January Minutes
Old Business Stickers, er, Decals are to be shipped to me on the 15th of January, and we'll dish them out at our February meeting. If you haven't paid yet, please go to Neil and Tara's shop (FAO) and give them your $32. If you've forgotten whether or not you've paid, please visit this thread: http://forum.ih8mud.com/ca-toyota-ro...rs-wanted.html If your name has a red PAID next to it, you've paid, if not, PAY UP!!!! Please... New Business We voted Fred into the club this month... Welcome aboard !!!!Last month we had nominations for officers, and had one nomination for each office. This month we voted the nominees in, and here are the results:
Congratulations, and Thank you Neil for setting a great foundation for us to continue to build on (Sheesh, that sounds like major brown nosing... Ah, well, flame on!!!) Past Runs Mike went on a Christmas Tree gathering expedition in the South Lake Tahoe region (didn't catch a specific "where", maybe he'll chime in). On his way home his truck was running like a huge pile of stinky poopoo (technically speaking, of course) 15mph tops up the grades, getting glared at by the truckers hauling booty by him at 30mph. After cruising down the downgrades in Neutral overdrive at 55mph, he got off the freeway to call Neil and ask him what was up with his rig. He looked in his wheel well and saw that he had clogged his intake with snow getting to the tree cutting site (Note to fellow wheelers: Make sure your intake has some kind of barrier keeping out wayward snow getting churned up by your mudders). After extensive extraction of the criminal snow, the rig ran like a charm. This will be an annual run, and the permit is only $10 for a tree as big or small as you want. Sunday November 30, 2008 was set as the date. I'll post a thread closer to the date, but put it on the Yahoo calendar tonite. Aaron went on a snow run up to Sly Park a couple of weeks ago and had a blast. Minimal carnage, a couple of stucks (to be expected), but quick extractions made for a great day. Rig fix updates: Ben is going to install a new tranny (as soon as his power comes back on!!!! He says his area in Chico is not supposed to get power restored until tomorrow... wicked storm!!!) I am installing my axles this weekend, hopefully driving it around to break in the new rear gears (WooHoo 1st time in about 1.5 years). John is having wiring woes with his lighting on his new rack... Future Runs
