3.1997 Land Cruiser CE in pretty boy blue.

4.I haven't wheeled the truck yet, so I am not sure what I like as of yet. I had a 2004 Tacoma for 3 1/2 years, and I ran whatever I could with the IFS. Everything major down here in SoCal, as well as Rubicon last year, and the AZ Rocks run outside of Phoenix.

5.I used to be the SoCal TTORA President up until about a month ago. I want to kick back a little more, not have so much responsibility, and go wheel with the family folks and laid back people. My wife has an 07 FJ that is built up, so we go out together with our own trucks, and tow the 6 year old daughter along for the ride

The NEW OLD ride.....

The OLD ride...

285/75-16 BFG AT's, on-board air compressor w/air tank, Con-ferr roof rack, vanilla CB, 2m Ham
Kaymar rear bumper with tire swingout & one empty spindle

b) '94 new acquisition, bad motor, soon to be re-engined.
MODS (by PO [thanks again, Skim]): OME J springs, L shocks, 2" metal tech spring spacers, Slee front control arms,
Slee brake lines, 315 BFG MT's on factory wheels, ARB front bumper w/slee ac protector,

4. I like to expedition-style wheel with a little not-too-hard-core thrown in. DD between this and the '74 FJ40, it's only 6 miles to work! Love to go wheelin' with my two sons now that they can drive, that's it's own adrenaline rush. Don't get to go as much as I'd like, but we get out a bit.

5. Hobbies are the family, home projects, Landcruisers. Work in the car biz here in Torrance.

Pics - a couple wheelin Moab with the boys and one from last years run to Borrego with the Taco group.
(I could only post 3 pics, I thought 'silver star' allowed more?)

My Official Check-In

1.First name: Eric
2.Location: La Mesa, California
3.Rig: 2007 FJ Cruiser
16" Mickey Thompson Classic Lock wheels
33" Toyo Open Country MT tires
Full set of AllPro Offroad skid plates
ARB sliders
Custom rear storage drawers http://sanabriadigital.com/FJ_Drawers.html

4.What you like to do with your ride?
My dream is to do more expedition style trips/runs with my family, but I also have a hard time turning away from a challenge so I dabble in harder core stuff too. But expedition style fits me perfectly. So, mods to my rig will continue to be focused in that way, which brings about specific space saving challenges in the FJ. But you and I both know that is most of the fun of this hobby is making it work and I look forward to that process (the journey) more than the destination. I'm new to this hobby so that's why I dream of expedition style trips. I haven't had the opportunity to take a long trip in the FJ yet.

5.Any thing personal you would like to add?
I'm a Graphic Designer and Digital Artist. My family is my wife, Alexis and my two labs, Vegas and Diesel. I love to trail run and exercise, build stuff and design. That keeps me happy.

6.Pictures: The Rig

The Family:

I look forward to meeting more of you!

After many years of thinking land cruisers were an incredible vehicle I now own an incredible vehicle of my own! Bought a 1994 FZJ-80 with 93,000 and change on the counter this past Friday.

1.First name - Brad

2.Location - West LA

3.Year, make (LC or LX), and any modifications you have done - 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser FZJ-80, stock throughout and locked

4.What you like to do with your ride? (i.e. expedition, hard core, family truckster) Everything, though I may not be getting into the hardcore stuff....oh yeah, and no family yet

5.Any thing personal you would like to add? (family, hobbies, work industry) 2 mile commute each way to work so the gas isnt killing me yet. Jiujitsu, golf, cycling, backpacking, volleyball..., too much stuff

6.Pictures, pictures, pictures…please post some pictures of your ride and anything else you feel is appropriate to help the other members get a feel for who you are. I'll upload some more pics as they become more respectable outdoor shots

Garage
1. Ryan
2. West Compton, Harbor Gateway (no Joke)
3. 94 FZJ80 "Crusher" 170k (owned since 89k), Factory Lockers(rebuilt), Custom Interior, New paint, 305 tires on 20" wheels that have seen snow and mud, 6000 watt audio system. I do all the work (when possible) on the truck myself.
4. Used as work truck during the day, carries woodworking and cabinet making tools. Weekends It hauls people from the entertainment industry around town. Before customized, it did the AZ snow run in Payson plus The widow maker trail. After customization it has travelled cross country 3 times fom LA to Pittsburgh. Held AZ state record for loudest car stereo in 03' and routinely won awards at car shows for nicest Toyota.
5. I work as a audio installer and this cruiser is used to showcase my work, plus do promoting with it for a clothing company. I wanted something more interesting than a typical domestic suv to customize. So far I have owned it 7 years and it has never let me down. I am in the market for lift springs, shocks, and a ARB bumper if anyone is selling. Want to get it ready for more offroad. The style isn't quite the same as what is normally on this forum, but you wont complain when you see the girls I bring in it to the cruiser meet! Salute!

Building an 80 selling a 40

1.First name. Carl

2.Location. SAn Diego,

3.Year, make (LC or LX), and any modifications you have done.
1972 fj40, 327, th400, saginaw, tilt colum, too many mods to list, and putting up for sale to build the 80
1997 FZJ80 factory locked just bought 1 month ago and building. No mods other than replacing all fluids removing the running boards, cb install. just need $ and time now.
2007 toyyota 4 runner, wifes daily, so its off limits to me.
2004 Suzuki dl1000, mainly for long trips with motorcycle friends.

4.What you like to do with your ride? (i.e. expedition, hard core, family truckster) Started off like most San diego east county kids did, ridding 3 wheeler in the dunes, then dirt bikes, then 4x4, then adventure motorcycles, then marriage then no time. Now considering expedition and moderate trail rides since starting a family at 40. I'm getting too old and less time to fix broken parts.

5.Any thing personal you would like to add? (family, hobbies, work industry), Married to Kelly, expecting a girl in march, played alot of vollyball, used to ride mountain bikes alot, kayak alot, water ski, backpaked much of the eastern sierra, breaking wife into camping, member of local TLCA club, golf when time, work too much, need more time.

6.Pictures more to come.

Maybe get a chance to meet the local 80 crew soon, when i get going wiht the build.
