In other words, the wifey won't let me play two weekends in a row, and I chose the 10' waterfall.

More like the weather forecast called for a slight chance of rain. I guess it is rain/snow up in Tahoe and if it rained much this weekend then I'm praying they lift fire restrictions.

I thought you folks were going this last weekend ? Oops...
cannot make next weekend either, traveling to the Hammers for our yearly week.
and thus, cannot help should you encounter issues, but Cindy will be home if you need a place to drop busted trucks or regroup.
expect more weather... the window of opportunity is closing fast.

it was better than great, but just short of excellent.
Booze and food is no longer cheap...
We ate at Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill... expensive but way good. The Blue Man group was a most excellent show. We rode the roller coaster which goes thru the casino, and went to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Did all the shows on the strip, etc.
Flights were good and easy... came back with some money.
but lets not hijack this thread... its all about Fordyce. (thanks for asking Don...)

Sorry you and Eric won't make it Tim. Looks like it will be a beautiful weekend in the mountains.
Wonder if anyone or two will be packing chainsaws?

Don,
I always take two bags, no matter what.
And do not get me wrong here, I am in no way complaining, I am absolutely thrilled to state the following.
Due to current work load here at the shop I can not be away from the shop on Fri, therefore will not be able to meet up for this trail, once again.
I think that the trail does not want me on it. Guess it is one more year of looking at the pictures, again.

Sorry to say that I can't come along, working Sat, and a mid-term on Monday I have to actually make an effort to study for (It sucks now that I actually try and take my education seriously).
have a good run, the Fordyce Lake area is an amazing stretch of land.
Godspeed

Very nice weather, and that trail is tuff. Roger Taylor is a mad man, he throttles that mini up , up , and away. He also broke both rear axles. Larry toasted an axle housing and me and Dion got thru o.k.. Caught 1 small fish but had fun fishing with Emerald who really idolizes Larry. Trail was almost all ours, and the water flow was at 8 cfs, that was a sight to see.

Broke ds 5 mins out of camp getting out of committee creek crossing. PS went an hour later as we topped the ridge and headed down hill in front wd. That little black truck was the sleeper of the trail I thought.
Thank you Roger for letting me tag along.

certainly the dark side of extra low gearing and extra wheelbase. But I still think a 40 is much more fun to drive
