My new addition

I just picked up this stock '85 SR5 pickup this weekend. Xtra Cab, EFI. The '74 FJ40 is still our baby, so gonna take some time to get around to upgrading anything on this thing. Now the kids have something to get on the trail with Dad. :-)

He told me he was coming..... and that he was bringin' his 40!

My ride is an 89 4Runner named the James Caird. Read about the origin of the name here.

It has a 22R-E and a 5 speed and is pushing 291k now, but I have reason to suspect they engine and tranny have both been messed with at some point.

Tires are 33x10.5 BGF MT's.
1.5 inch lift.
Marlin 4.7 transfer case gears.
95 SR5 4Runner bucket seats.
Upgraded headlight wire harness and headlights.

I have a really nice bathroom... That's why I dont' have a locker, sliders, bumpers, and a winch yet........

I remember your 4runner well Jerod. I came pretty close to buying one myself because of it. But a straight axle 4runner is rarer than my 85 pickup.

That's a sweet truck Bob! My Dad has 2 84 longbeds..... one is on blocks now..... And the front axle will eventually end up under my 4Runner. I had an 86 short bed, but I have a thing about being able to sleep inside my vehicle.......

Hey Jerod and Bob,

I'll be at McGrew in the 40. Just scored some gently used (Rubicon once) 2.5" lift springs tonight off craigslist so after the repair of the oil leak from the speedo housing, they'll probably go on.

Pics to follow....

Still thinking about that 84 xtra cab in SoCal I told you about Jerod. Must convince the wife.

Nice ride Ben! Why are you being spotted in that pic? Seems like more of a "Point and shoot" kind of truck....
