Disabled 1988 FJ62 - Fix or Sell As Is?

I am looking for advice from some local people about whether I should fix up my FJ62 to sell it, or to sell it as-is. It ran out of oil and the engine is "frozen". But "other than that" it is in great shape.

I talked to some out-of-area restoration dealers, but it costs so much to ship it that it is prohibitive to sell it to them.

Is there some more local restoration dealers (it is now in Vallejo)? Or are there some local land cruiser shops that could fix the engine? Any Idea what this would cost to fix, and if it would be more cost effective to just sell it as-is?

Here is my ad on craigslist. I am getting very little feedback on it because the audience is so general.

Thanks for any advice you can give! I really appreciate it. I am just at a loss of what to do with it right now.

To BE honest you will never get the money out of it that you put in to it trying to fix it up to sell it.. Sounds like it ill need a new motor or at least a very extensive rebuild. If you cannot change out the motor yourself then you will have to pay someone to do that and that would be more money up front for you.

Try other places to sell it. Some one could have a motor and needs a rig or maybe someone needs parts.. But if you dot want it I would just sell it as is.. IMO
