If anyone has a spare seat driving out back to O'Brien Saturday morning my friend would like a ride out. He was thinking of joining us (riding in with me) Fri. and camping, but can't stay through Sund.
Let me know. thanks.

Just unhooked the trailer, packed the truck and finished scrubbing the fenders! I'm ready! Now all I need is a really good nights sleep in my own nice comfortable bed before leavin' in the am See you guy's at diner.
Oh and just a clarification, I think Ty is looking to get his friend out of Sourdough on Saturday...not the other way around... I think.

Because the Voodoo Blue FJC wasn't still parked in the same place it was all weekend when you took it on yourself to pick it up and then talk some SHIT because you thought you could? Had it still been there when I left at 1:00 I would have taken it out as planned. Sorry that you took it on yourself to feel inconvenienced by being impatient and taking it yourself.....

its OK... Jeff and I always 'discussed' (read argued) about who was carrying the trash. Jeff was pretty proud of himself this year in pawning it off on his new club friends.

Yes G Double Tizzle is correct, sorry if it wasn't clear. I was glad to be cleaning up this year. It was the one that took it out for us instead of waiting for me to do it. And then tried to flame me for him doing it. All internal conflict here Tony

I wasn't sure who was supposed to take it (if anyone). I had my own trash to strap to the top of my rig, it wasn't a big deal to strap a box and another bag next to it. I would much rather take it out myself than assume someone else is going to and have it get left behind.

The guy (claimed to be a "manager") at the O'Brian store was complete over it. Jeff had mentioned that they paid the folks $100 each year for the facilities. Charise went in to ask them to unlock the dumpster so we could dump it (all of the shirt box with 2 bags in it, and 2 other bags). He gave her a bad time about it, saying that no one had paid and he was going to charge her $1 a bag. Finally he just told her to dump it in the cans somewhere. As Charise was walking out, one of the other gals in the store commented "She pulled up in a Lexus. She probably has more money in her bank account than the rest of us together."

Don't sweat it guys. Sounds like a store failure to communicate. I always pay the "manager", but he wasn't in when I rolled in on Fri night. So, I paid the lady that said she would get it to him later. Sounds like she forgot. I'll call them & straighten them out.
PS - I think we need to converse with the new RV park about using their restrooms and trash, & pay them instead. Nicer facility w/showers. We wouldn't pay the store anything, because the field use would still generate plenty of business for them.

Just talked to the manager ... all is cool & he's very apologetic ...
Apparently what happened was that when Charise went in, he thought she was saying one of his people "charged" us a $100, which got him going on a rant ... they have never charged us anything. It's always simply been a good gesture from us to them to help with our impact. Some time after Charise left, the lady I paid went to him & explained what happened. He looked for us, but we all had already left.
His last words ... "hope to see you next year "

HAH! I bet he was. He would be very very very sad at the loss of business if we decided to stage somewhere else.

That sounds like a plan, I was thinking something along the same lines.
I don't know how many people will actually use the showers, I imagine by that point most people will simply want to head home and use their own. But it'd be real nice to have it as an option.

I think Jeff was more thinking of the out of towners that stage before the run....not after.

Yep, quite a few camp there before the run and a shower before bed or first thing in the morning would be welcome by all I bet.
