Also, If possible I would like to meet up on Thrs. for Pizza and beer's so I can meet as many people as possible before the run saturday. (I still dont know about friday)

A CB is nice to have, but not neaded.
As for air last year and the year before it was required to air down to maximum of 15 psi. The O'brien store does have air although it doesn't work great, this weekend it would only go to 25psi. I will have my CO2 full by then so I should have enough to cover most of the club that comes out when I do (at least those that don't have their own). I may also bring my Costco compressor after seeing how well it did for Steve.
Stuff to know....bring sun block and TP.... Nothin' particularly special.
Lookin' forward to getting to meet you face to face on Thursday, should be a good time.
Also last year they did put out the disclaimer that a stock rig, not doing silly things, will come thru without body damage. So you will be fine as long as you don't push beyond your limits.

While the FJ Sizzle is shorter and thus needs less steel, I'm sitting at around $175 for mine after buying the steel and bolts/nuts. (Over $60 for the nuts and bolts alone, though I did buy the metrics when I could have cheated and gotten the SAE size.) I'll also have a bunch of steel left over, no doubt.
I did go way overkill on mine (lots of 3/16ths wall steel), but you can't go that much smaller and keep the strength without more engineering (and more cutting/welding).
I'd figure on $200 for it, just to be on the safe side. That's still far cheaper than other places though. (No idea on the FJC, but I know for the 80 you're looking at $800 to a grand real easy.)

Thats good to know! The 200 mark is what I'm tryN to stay away from. I can get a set of stock or aftermarket for about that... Thats Why I jumped at knoll's comment about building a set for 100 or less... Its all about the money, We all know that!

Never really discussed. There is usually plenty of food. Plan on feeding yourself like you were camping and then bring a side dish or meal or dessert to throw on the table on the potluck night. Peeps bring ham, cookies, salads, whatever you can haul in undamaged and share. It's kick back.

I thought I replied to your email...and pm... ooops. When I got my Plasma and Welder I told the club that I'd help out with welding things and not charge for labor. So if you wanna get together and build up something I'd be happy to weld it for you. As for engenering for the FJC it is prety cut and dry I will be building new sliders for mine soon...not sure if I'll do it befor McGrew or not, but soon. I don't like that the factory sliders don't stick out past the rocker. If I do get mine done before McGrew I'll make you a heck of a deal on my factory...slightly used . But if you want to get together and weld up a set let me know and we can figure out some time that works for both of us. I'm going to say that if you don't want to go much thicker than factory you should be close to the 100 mark...not sure about hardware, but I'll try and price whatever the capture nuts are....
Edit:
If you have factory running boards you may want to remove them in either case...

OK, I'm pickN up what your putN down!!! I would like to get together and make something happen! Maybe we can do a set for each of up to make it less expensive! On the other hand picking up your factory stock slider's for cheep is apealing too!!
As for those pesky step sides, I removed them quite a while ago after some Lake creek Carnage... (I went out in the MUD on some ATV trails and Ripped the right side off)

First timers are required to bring home-made icecream or ben&jerry's or hagen-daz and a dutch oven and make peach cobbler as there usually isn't enough..

It's usually a bit of a rush to get the grub heated up for dinner depending on how late we get in but no worries, we'll save room for all of the aforementioned goodies!
