Granite, OR Wheeling?

Ive been there a few times, but all ways in my little cars. My friends have a old cabin there, its a annual event, although I've missed the last 2 years due to work. Headed back this year in my cruiser .

There looks to be a million places, but again never payed to much attention.

Anyway anyone played up in that area. Closest town would be Sumpter, then in either direction would be Baker City and Grant.

I have been up and around there a little. Came through on the OBCDR and then a girlfriend and I headed from Sumpter north to Hwy 244. We were trying to find a warm spring somewhere along that route (appears to be gone).

Didn't get to stray too far off the roads due to time but the times I have headed off main lines in that area to find a quiet camp spot, the worst I'd seen was water erosion rutted out roads.

Might want to use Google Earth and look for rocky areas? I have done a little wheeling above Burns with family out there and that seemed to be the type of terrain people use.
