Spinning the Cats

Hope everyone is having a good weekend

Got a chance to swing over to Travis casa and do a little more welding on Sat. Finished up re-enforcing my other rear control arm. Then tackled rotating Gabe cats 90*.

It all ways starts off good when you hear, we'll just sawzall it off turn and weld back on LOL.

Ended up cutting the front front of the exhaust pipe, unbolting the cats, cutting on the flange on the rear cat and rotating. Turned out great. We tried the convince him "we don't need no stinking cats" and that straight headers sound cool.

Amazing enough we didn't have weld in the dark or rain, despite goofy off with dissembling a Sig .556, and pondering how it goes back together

Random pics.

Turned out really well, and really tucked the cats up higher (above the frame).

Awww, you didn't get the money shot of Travis.

BIG thanks to Travis for doing all the hard work and Tyler for supervising.

oh that's horrible ... seeing such suffering.. it brought tears to my eyes- not necessarily the crying kind.

brought back some childhood memories: my sister dried a cat once... didn't make it.. clump, clump, clump, clump- her sweater didn't make it either. Then there was the cat that got caught in the fan belt, the kitten that got ran over in the garage, then kitten that was mental (it would spin in circles and hiss at it's own tail), the one that fell behind the dresser in the garage and died (found it a couple weeks later), and last but not least the one I ran over in the driveway as I was learning to drive a stick- it managed to spaz out spurting blood all over the apron in front of the garage all while my little sister was watching in great horror... I actually liked that cat.

Thanks Tyler.

We had two cats that crawled up next to the warm engine and got hit with the fan. Neither died, but both lost a lot of fur and learned to not go inside the engine compartment.

Remind me to never ask Kief to pet sit for us, Mickey may be larger than a cat but he still doesn't move for cars...
