Is anyone comming out on Friday evening or Saturday morning? I have a friend that wants to ride with me over McGrew, but he doesn't get off of work untill Friday at 4. If need be I drive back out of SD Friday evening and pick him up at the O'Brien store but it would be nice if I didn't have to make that round trip an extra time....

I know that you have other stuff that is far more important going on right now. If you can that is cool, but I know that you are a definate maybe. I was posting so that we can try and have something planned. I still want to go in tomorrow night, but if I do that I'll need to know wether of not I need to make the run to O'brien again on Friday or not.....

I am picking Al up @ 8am in Rogue River. If your guy wants to ride into the saddle with Al and I Sat AM he is welcome.
Do we have a head count for the meeting and the run?
My truck = 2 for run only.

I have no idea if I'll make it, was hoping to drop in SAT am, wife's 20th class reunion is this weekend and found out a cousin from Texas is in town and Mom was wondering if we were meeting at my house?????.. I was thinking a quick zip on the motersicle would have been fun...
So the plan is go into camp via FS roads friday late morning, then head out the whole trail Saturday with tagalongs meeting at the "saddle"? Are you taking the whole trail or just the top half? forgive me for not wanting to read the whole thread.. Later. Kief.

Plan is leave Sourdough Saturday morning at 10 and run both halves of McGrew all the way out (there's a geocache on second half on the way out!). Meeting at Sourdough Friday night, very informal but necessary according to bylaws.
Attendance in my head right now is:
Me & 8 year old son
My Dad in my 40
Travis and his 2 monkeys
Ty flying solo
Kenny & Chrisie
Steve & Al Saturday morn at saddle
Maybe some of the Wheeler Off Road crew
Gabe is a maybe
Where is Curtis? Anyone check on him lately?
Kief is a very slight maybe
Calling Jesse Elliott tomorrow, he's a maybe
Who did I miss? Post up!

Yeah run in Friday meeting at 10:00 hrs G Double Tizzles house. (Toy350)
Camp at SD Friday night and have meeting around camp fire..... guessing around 20:00 hrs
Break camp in the am on Saturday
Be on the road out of SD at 10:00 hrs
Hit the Saddle at 10:30 hrs
Run McGrew Backward then show up to River Town in force after run...
FlyRod thank you that would work out well...we did hit a minor snag and that is that his pass may be revoked but he will let me know tomorrow am.
:Edit:
I guess I need to type faster :(

I'll be coming in with the family Friday evening. Any chance I can get forest road directions for the GPS computerly challenged? From O-Brien store, take the road that we normally hit the McGrew from and take that to where to get to the saddle? I'm cool from the saddle in but need directions to there. Road numbers would be nice!

What kinda of GPS do you have. Download the the McGrewTrailgpx.pdf that is in post #113. You will need to rename from a .pdf file to a .gpx (just right click rename). The GPX is a pretty common format. If using a Garmin and using the MapSource program you can just open the McGrewTrailgpx.gpx and click upload to GPS. You just have to select the check box that says tracks in the next dialog box. This will upload the map so to speak as a track.
Let me know if you need help. I should have some time tonight to assist.

Looks like I am out for this. Still don't have my fan shroud done and without it I am dead on slow steep climbs. I am hoping to do a small pre-run some time in July when I'll (hopefully!) have my act together.
See you guys at the event!

Travis will be picking up his friend at the O'Brien store on Friday evening, a ride is no longer needed for him.

Gabe, Ty and I are rolling out now. Travis went in last night, my dad went in earlier this morning. Joel is coming in tonight and we will see Steve and Al in the morning.
