If I had mad skills I'd overlay a track, but alas I didn't know how to do that with my old GPS....well still don't know how with my new one but it is capable so I think I'll figure it out after I get the track into the GPS.....okay ramble, my bad
P.S. I hope that the maps are at least a bit of help if for nothing more than reference.

Great thanks!
Ok, I hope I dont get flamed for this too bad, but in order to run the TLCA event in July at Mcgrew, I must be a TLCA member (which im not, YET) and pay for membership to the Jefferson State Cruisers, right? Am I missing somthing?
Thanks!

you only have to be enrolled with TLCA to be eligible for the official mcgrew run.
but there is still a run fee on top of the TLCA membership.

You have to sign up for the McGrew and pay the entrance fee and be a TLCA member. But since you haven't joined the TLCA yet then you don't have the McGrew registration form to fill in and send off. I don't think the form is setup online as of yet either, but not sure.

Last issue a couple of weeks ago. Tony Twiddy is a member of Pacific Mountain Cruisers who puts on the McGrew. Jeff Bomke is the one to mail the payments to, also a PMC member. Tony & Jeff are the ones that have always done the McGrew and this is the first year we are stepping in to help. Tony is usually slammed dealing with Rubithon and scrambles to get the McGrew Trail Ride together.

Hey JSC's. I was planning on doing this pre-run with you guys, but I just broke my junk (rear brake shoes delaminated & master needs replaced) Ordered parts, but decided to swap in 4.88's at the same time. Sooo .... no 40 for end of June, but .... I'll be on my quad (yellow Honda 500 Rubicon), with at least 5 others on the trail the same time as you. I thought about running with you on the quad, but it's not the same We'll be running the trail in both directions on Saturday. We haven't decided where to camp yet (thinking Cedar Springs or Sourdough), but it will be somewhere on the route Saturday night (couldn't talk them into Fri. night the same as you).
Anyway, I really would like to try to run into you guys somewhere & say hi, see how things are jelling for the PMC/JSC sponsored TLCA run, etc. Keep an eye out for me or PM me for my cell # (they do work in some places on the trail

I'm sure we will run into each other out there. I am thinking a 10 AM start out of Sourdough should work well.

For fun here is a kmz (google earth) of the map Ken posted, can easily be converted into track, route or GPS overlay on the GPS.
And our path that was logged last time we tried to get to SD in March with the whole stolen truck incident.

For fun here is the orig map overlayed on google earth...... ok sorry just previewed, looks kinda crappy, but too large to post here.

Thanks
Kinda funny it turned out as well as it did. The pic above is %100 opac. and fits almost dead on, you can see more if using the larger kmz I sent ya and turn down the opac.

Nice work Ty. Do have the file saved in a Garmin Mapsource friendly extension, I think it's mps or gdb that works with it. I would be nice to create a map of the area with the 2 trails in highlighted that we can hand out at the run and keep for ourselves while on the trail. I found that the track is so wide you have to use wide paper or cut the map in two. I have got some map paper that Knolly kicked down that I can print front and back and that works.

Club responsibilities for the official day
Haven't seen anything in our cloak and daggers forum and not much here other than our own projects getting ready.
Days seem to be flying by. What exactly do we need to dial in and get done prior to the official date?
