First Trout

In case there are any of you that haven't heard yet I caught my first fish a couple of weeks ago. So you all have the privilage, or penance, of sharing this moment with me. Here is the only picture I got since the battery was dead on my camera :(
It messured just under 14" and was quite tasty

Soon as it starts warming up we're gonna be hitting Lake Selmac. (Pretty low elevation and small and shallow, so it'll warm up quick.)

And since that's only like 20 minutes away from ya, you got no excuse not to come.

You want to catch some good fish, you come with me. I'll hike you in 3 miles and you will catch atleast 15 to 20 Brooke trout in 3hrs or less with the chance of some of them 3lb pound mark. On a 5 weight fly rod you can't beat it. Josh

I got a boat that'll do 55 mph.

(Hiking....pffft!)

(Which reminds me, I need to set it up for pulling a skier or tube.....Travis if you're coming by tomorrow remind me to show you that, I could use your fabrication opinions.)

If my pontoon boat doesn't sell we could always take that out fishing, it'll do 30mph while towing tubes with 20 people on it....ok so maybe only 25 with that many people on it.

In!!

Three miles is about perfect: Not too tough, but gets rid of 99% of the riff-raff. In fact, darn near all of my "all time favorite" spots are about three miles from a trailhead.

(BTW, I'm a bait fisherman; am I still invited...?)

Man I don't know, you can use one of mine if you go.

The fact that you got a Cruiser, I'll make an exception

I would love to bring you guys to my back yard. I read something the other week, and it said the Modoc National Forest is the least visited and used National forest in the country. I love that fact because every time I go fishing I have the lakes to myself.
