Wheeling 1/24

Since I missed the big wheeling trip last weekend (and I hear it was really big) we are planning our own trip out to W Evans Creek. Not this Saturday but next (the 24th) we are meeting out at Rainey's Market at 9am (corner of HWY 234 and Antioch 97524). Should be a pretty gnarly trip, most everyone going has one locker and 35's, several winches in the group and we hope to use them. I would think with 33" MT's you should be alright, worse comes to worse we can strap you up the hard stuff. I'm switching from my MTR's to my Bogger's even with the less ground clearance I'm gonna need them. Should be fun, come out and wheel! If you're running late or need directions give me a call 840-3871, although we get out of cell phone range pretty quick once we leave so its best to call earlier than later!

If I've got gas money and my skids back on by then I'm down.

We're still on like Donkey Kong for next weekend. I swapped to my little girlie 38" Boggers Sunday so I am set! Truck looks a lot smaller now.

What the trail look like? High chance of damage since I got no sliders or rear quarter panel protection?

I'm guessing not much damage, I think the worse that could happen is sliding sideways into a tree. Even then I don't know if it will be wet enough to have much mud. There will be a lot of exploring, I just know where to start and after that the sky's the limit.

Travis,

You still interested in this? I think I could cover the gas for the privilege of riding shotgun.

Let me know,

I would be totally down, and would love for you to ride shotgun and keep me company! The only problem is that is the day of Madisons big Fourth Birthday Party so my loyalties have to go to the Monkey on this one. Sorry to miss out guy's but Family has to be first priority Curtis next time I'll take ya up on the offer and whenever you're ready to slay some fish just PM, Email, or give me a call

Curtis if you want to ride along I got permission from the boss to go, and she's going to a baby shower so I could use a co-pilot.

I may be able to come out but leave in time for the festivities, but if I do I'll have my brother in law Corey ridin' shotgun. So if I can make it out Curtis you are welcome to ride along, we can play musical seats

Ok, I'm in if you still are.

Want to meet up at your place at 8:40am or so?

My dad's coming so I'm gonna be picking him up about 8ish. I can swing by and pick you up from your place at about 8:15-8:30, which should give us plenty of time to get lost before finding the meeting spot!

I'll be getting pics off of Jason's camera tomorrow.

After you guys left we went back the way we came which turned out to be quite the gnarly hill climb. You would get part way up and then slide into those super deep ruts and have to back down. Somewhere in there I stripped my steering arm on the box! It rotated like 3/4 of a turn at the steering wheel before it would catch again! We managed to limp it all the way home doing between 15-35mph. It was scary as hell! At one point we even had an OSP behind us and he didn't even pull us over!!!

He was probably afraid that if he pulled you over your truck would explode or something.

Glad I didn't go back that way then. Sounds like quite the adventure.

Wow.

Wouldn't have imagined the reverse direction would even be an issue. Always good to remember that, "Just 'cause you went down it, don't mean you're going to get back up it!"

Thanks for organizing the trip Jesse; I had a blast.

BTW; I'm beat!

Cheers all,

Curtis

Great pics.

Most of them don't give justice to the trail, but that trail is crazy deceiving....
