I have a feeling I will be at it for an hour or so tomorrow. I got home right at dark so I didn't have time.

Oh I also forgot we found some gnarly rutted area on the way back just above the first hill climb. There were some tank traps and one of them was probably a 15' hill with a 3' drop at the end, it almost put me completely into the side of the bank. After that there were trails going in every direction. We need to go back up to do some exploring one of these days.

I'll be hitting up White City metals this week/end (probably Friday) to find me some stock for it.

If you want to armor up yours at the same time, we can do so. Don't even need to pull them from the truck.

Can be done on the truck but it is a hell of alot easier to pull them down first. And it's only two bolts to get them off, very little too it. We can make them strong like bull in a matter of a couple of hours. I would definately recomend doing this though before you do any serious wheelin' it seems to be a week point on all Toyotas...prabably all rigs for that matter. Some guy's use angle iron on just the bottom, I'd recomend finding quarter inch round stock that will fit like a sleave. We can split it lengthwise like I did mine and weld the full length. One piece will do to armor the bottom, or two to fully encase the stockers...

With 1/4 inch doing just the bottoms is overkill.

Doing top and bottom is serious overkill. I'm tempted, but budget might limit me to only the bottom....

I have quite a few more pictures by the way, but just tried to post some good "highlights". At some point I'm sure the full spread will be up on the JSC web site

Cool pics Jesse! (Not a single one of me though! )

Maybe it's for the best so the Mrs. doesn't have proof of me doing crazy stuff.

I didn't take them, when the going got good Jason put down the camera and was running winch lines for everyone so he missed a lot of the good stuff.

You can FTP them to me and I can post them on my beta/dev site for fun if you want. At least until JSC website gets updated.

I don't know if I have said this recently or not but I HATE MUD!!!!!!! I'm still cleaning mud from inside of my cross members, under my transmission, and assorted other places. Not to mention the hugely increased dent in my transmission pan :( I do hope that it doesn't leak, but that's the beauty of dirt driveway, no noticable puddles...

Jesse you rock man, but I'm not wheelin' with you again untill I get my skids back up. You crazier than me

I ran the sprinkler under my truck for like 2 hours yesterday.

Barely dented it.

the big key to clean trucks after the mud is going straight to the pressure washer. otherwise you have to wait for it to dry and then fall off in your eye the next time youre under there wrenching.

I wasn't planning on wheelin that trip, but was convinced that it was "only mud" so chose to wheel after all. And yes I do take full responsibility for anything that happens to my rig when I'm behind the wheel (or not for that matter). I was just pointing out that Jesse has a very different idea of "easy" than I do.

As for why my skids are still off, well my under cariage is now two capture nuts short and I'm not sure what I'm going to do for new mounting points. Not to mention that crawling around in the mud trying to find mounting points sucks, almost as much as welding in the mud does.

But thanks for the points G double Tizzle

Don't know what I ever did without you
