Mining claim day run Sunday?
Yeah I know, crazy right? My brother has a friend in town and they tried to go see our old place the other day, but it's not accessible on foot as the water is up some, and there's 6 inches of slushy snow on the ground... and a berm of snow plowed up in front of the access road...
The deciding factors:
The claim is 2 1/2 hours from Medford... But it's a beautiful drive, and this weekend is supposed to be nice.
It'll just be a day run, so that's plenty of driving for you Northerners...
It'll be fun!
There's a water crossing, that should be even more fun than last time.
Mining claim + snow = ?????

I get the feeling that I'm only writing this for Travis.... But we'll see...
Anyone is invited, and no one should feel obligated to go..... Hehehehe
I just don't want to be the only truck...

No worries, one of the things on the list for the meeting is tentative plans on a spring run/camping trip. Maybe I'll talk my dad into going with his truck....

I would so be there but for the price of gas and the lack of currency...

The spouse is departing for SF on Sunday. I may able to join in the fun with kids in tow. I'll find out when she is leaving.

She leaves @ 11am. That may be too late of a start for you.

Yeah, it's a bit late... You have to drop her off at 11 or before? IE: How early could you be in Yreka?

Well, we made it! There was some snow, and the river was about a foot deep or so... But no trouble for the Caird and a locked 80....
