11/29 Christmas Tree Run
OK- I will be heading out of my house around 830 on Saturday to go get this years tree. Will be heading out to Murphy and then up Spencer Creek up to Upper Powell Creek where we can meet up with Kief if he his going. From there up to near the top at Holcomb Peak where a few 6' trees have been spotted. Not looking like any snow at this time and the roads should not be challenging in the least bit. Basically boring from a wheeling standpoint. I have to be back in town by 3 PM so I don't plan on making a whole day out of it. Not trying to talk anyone out of it just letting you know it isn't looking like there will be any sort of challenge via weather conditions. Quite a few of us know the area and can continue exploring different areas and try to find some fun if that's the way some want to go.
That's the plan from my end, feel free to elaborate. Kief might be heading up to Dutchmans peak on the next run which should contain snow. I'm out the 6th but might make the 13th.

With the rain we've been having I'm sure at the least we can find some nice mud puddles.

I was just going by the voting!
Not sure which of the other 2 runs will be evolving, time will tell I guess.

Without snow Spencer doesn't offer too much challenge even with side trails, but if anyone is lookin' for some post up please. If there isn't anyone looking for a challenge I may just save the fuel since we didn't plan on getting our tree this early...nothing in stone. I hate to miss any of the club runs so we'll see.

It looks like I'm bringing along some friends, so some challenges would be great.
You gotta go Travis, if for no other reason than so they can say "you actually *FOLLOW* this crazy guy?"

So....
Can we get a head count for this Sat? So far the interest seems fairly slim...
If people don't want to go get a tree, I'm sure we could find something more challenging somewhere.

OK peoples, I am leaving my house at 0830 and if you need to follow me up you can show up at my pad as early as 0800. Travis knows the way and usually runs a little behind schedule sorry bro. Kief and family will be meeting us up on the hill if they come. Those that have my cell can call me and we should be running channel 29 tomorrow. Any questions post up as I will check this up until I leave tomorrow.

K is up in Salem with the girls so if I do make it I'll either be at G's around 8 or I'll head up alone (unless someone wants to follow me) around noonish... Clear as mud?
So if there's anyone that doesn't want to be at G's at 8'ish please post up so I know to drag my feet...

I think there was a clear-cut in progress...
OH THE CARNAGE!!!!!
The sap was dripping in a trail down the road... trucks, vans, suv's and trailers were screaming past my house with limp trees sprawling- the poor defenseless trees never stood a chance...
