Now the question is:
If they have a broke toyota 4x4 (cough Jerod cough) and drive a Heep to the event are they still considered a Toyota owner? I have one of those that might come ; )

Now you are getting to the point where does the line begin and end.
If your friend has a Toyota 4X4 that is currently registered in good standing with the DMV and "intends" on having it running soon then he is a Toyota owner, if not then sponsorship is needed for him being a Heeper. If you are in the club and have multiple 4X4's I don't see a problem with bringing which ever you want to our "fun" runs. Any sanctioned event by us should be driven in Toyota's except where you are a sponsored non-Toyota owner. These events if represented by TLCA would also require TLCA membership like a few Heepers were required to do on Rubithon this year.
That's the line I just drew with permanent marker

I thought it was 75% Toyotas for them to sponsor an event (partially why 75% was required for TLCA membership). /confused
Yes he is working on getting his yota running but that requires moneys and he's still working on that part, lol.

Could be, would have to look that up again. I thought that referred to the club being a chapter of the TLCA. TLCA events are always Toyotas with a few exceptions obviously, but those exceptions are not promoted.

Ah, when you find out let me know. That was the assumption I was under after looking through it. I could be wrong though @_0
It kind of wouldn't make sense to either A be a part of TLCA if we do have non toyota members or B not be a toyota only club. Neither of which I think is what we want : (

Here's my take on it... The TLCA does not check up on whether we are a Toyota only club... just so long as we have enough registered TLCA members to stay a Chapter...(6 to start and 4 to stay an active chapter I think...)
If someone wants to drive their J$*# to a club event, I don't care, neither does TLCA. If we have a sanctioned event and a member wants to drive their J$#*$&$, I don't care, and neither does TLCA. If they don't own a Toyota (parts rig or other...) and are not a TLCA member, they will not be listed on the TLCA chapter in good standing form, and can't hold office (or whatever our bylaws say...) It's a Toyota club, we will not be swarmed with Jeeps, trust me guys, we don't have to worry about it....

Not sure where I'll be in late October. If I'm around, I'll see what I can do to make it to our meeting/run.
BTW - I've got three operational cruisers in Medford, I might be talked into lending the parts rig to someone if they would feel better in a cruiser than brand x. You just can't mash the tailgate, hood or front fenders; 33's, OME, rear locker, 87-60, weber - 10mpg - you buy the gas.

Change of plans slightly...
Actually we're only going to the bad weather plan... We need to have the meeting first at Garett's house, then go wheel. It will work out better for a few people who don't have the time to wheel, so we're going to accommodate them.
Still 10:00 a.m. October 25th.

Well boys, i've been lurking on this thread in hopes that as the 25th got closer nothing would get in the way of my attending. Was looking forward to hooking up with 'yall' and doing a little wheelin' and even joining the club. As it turns out, the 25th is the day before the handbrake leaves for a week in DC. Might have been able to attend but that friday is Halloween(which the handbrake has big plans for) and there's a lot of prep briefing to be done Sat. We usually get between 500-800 trick or treaters and the wifee even has 'volunteers' at the ready. Of course i will be lead on this till she gets home early friday night and I'll have to set up and get it going.
Ding, dang, dong!
With SnT also in jeopardy, I was looking forward with anticipation. Such is life i guess.
We will meet again.
