| Recovery Gear for VI Cruisers Hey Gang;
Just wondering what the level of interest is in a club buy for recovery gear is...
I will try offer pricing that is aggressive as possible - but it does depend on volumes a little bit. A good idea of pricing will be what a large US Land Cruiser shop offers with allowance for the difference between the Canuck Buck and the Green Back (typically multiply the US price by 1.23 to get the rough cost in Canuck Bucks).
I am only offering quality items, so have a look primarily at the ARB line up. Their quality is superior to most other gear on the market, and you will get much better lifespan from it as a result.
Suggested items: ARB Recovery Gear
- Recovery straps
- Tree Saver straps
- Winch Extension straps
- Snatch blocks
- Load-rated D-rings etc... Jacks & related
- Hi-Lift brand jacks (48" and 60" are most common)
- Hi-Lift accessories Winches
- Warn - for the most part these are the best to get, but others available (Tmax, Ramsay etc.)
- Tire repair kits
- Tire deflators (working on pricing for the Staun units - will update).
- Post here if interested.
- For this "club buy" you must be either an active or prospective member of VI Cruisers or the Island Rock Crawlers.
- Payment is required at time of ordering. CC processing fees may apply (2 - 3% depending on card type) due to the low margins. Taxes apply - GST at 5% and PST at 7%.
- Pick up any items at Radd Cruisers in Duncan (unless someone else wants to do it). If you want them delivered, then shipping is in addition to the purchase price.

(or at the very least interested in pricing)
Staun also has some kind of sprinkler system you mount into the frame for washing and apply wax/oil.... any chance on $$ for those guys too?

| I certainly need to replace my (lost) long recovery strap.
Not that I'll ever use it, of course.
Price at your convenience, please.

| ARB 710 $ 100.86 (approx) (ie: competitive US-based Land Cruiser shop's price $ 82 USD x exchange (today's) 1.23 = $ 100.86 CAD)
**Prices subject to variability with exchange rates** |

| I'll be ordering in about 6 sets initially, then getting more as needed.
I'll let you know when they come into stock. Cash works best, or interac if you're in the neighborhood.

I have individual seals and gaskets in stock for most Land Cruisers - axle/front end as well as rear full floater shaft seals.
Oil Filters for the Prado, and 1HX/HDT engines (90915-30002) in stock
I have gaskets and gasket sets for 3B, 2H, 2LTE, 3L in stock. Mostly complete sets, but I do have 3B oil pan, breather, and exhaust gaskets available separately. 2LTE & 3L heads available (Factory Toyota) & head bolts
1HZ/HDT rod bolts and ACL bearings - I have ACLs in stock and lots of Factory rod bolts
2LTE injection pumps - I am sold out for now, but have 4 more on order. If you know someone who's looking, I will have these in stock shortly.
BJ74 parking brake cables - factory Toyota - only 1 left at the moment, more coming.
A few different speedo cables - by length, not application (for Toyota models, of course)
Speedo correction units available for most models (special order)
BJ60 engine mounts - sold out at present, but more coming into stock shortly. Transmission mounts - sold out of BJ60 units but I have others - more coming in to stock soon.
NGK Glow plugs: I have Prado, Delica, & Land Cruiser 10.5V, 14V & 20.5V in stock - I keep some Delica service parts in stock in case you know anyone that owns one.
Rad hoses - for HJ60/61, BJ7x, HZJ73, and the later BJ42s (1982 on)
Tail Gate Lift Struts - I keep 60 series units in stock.
OME & Terrain Tamer spring bushings. OME for the OME springs, and the TT brand for other springs (OME Dakar springs need the OME bushings to correct a problem with the spring eye insert sleeve coming out of place).
Greasable spring pins and shackles in stock - OME brand, and Terrain Tamer coming into stock soon.
Winches - we have an older used M6000 on consignment. This is a permanent magnet motor winch, comes with controller, roller fairlead and has a new cable. $300. Best for light duty use such as a Suzuki or on a trailer.
I have one brand new Warn M8274 in stock, 24V - this is the premium 24V winch to own, but it also comes with a hefty price tag - if you're interested, drop me a line.
I have several PTO winches for 60 series - HJ60/61. These can be modified to use on a 40 series - the winch itself is the same, the PTO gear boxes will fit the split case, but the shafting would have to be cut and welded to fit for length. $900 for the gear box, shafts, winch & shifter. The cables are junk and should be replaced.
Batteries: I sell Napa (East Penn-Deka) batteries and keep Yellow Top AGMs, Group 24 (matched pairs) and Group 27 (matched pairs) in stock. Group 27s fit most Land Cruisers - these particular Napa batteries have anchor bonded plates (plates are set into resin to prevent vibration damage from off-roading/diesel engines).
That's it for now...
