Yeah, I just don't think it's really worth it, guy wants 2000 for it, and it is really rough. Like no floors, looks like he's been using the cardboard floor boards for a while. everything leaks, so it is pretty much just for parts, and 2G is a bit high I think. I am just sort of dreaming of the plow. and even that looks not too great.

Rusty deserves better than to become your plow rig, but 2k is kinda high for a no floor 71....

Yeah, I think it is pretty steep, and so will any other landcruiser guy, normal people will think it is outragious, that it belongs in the scrap bin. But I can see where the guy is coming from, as a new plow is pretty expensive, and this one comes with a truck attached. The cruiser might even run, but I don't think it has been serviced since the 80s.

Those plows new are around $1000 or so I would guess?
If it's otherwise a complete and original truck in running/driving condition, maybe he figures 2G is a good asking price.
If you decide to give a gas truck a try for plowing, I have a nice 71 parts 40 in my back yard .

I just want the plow to put on my 42 or my other 42, if you want this one, I'd gladly go pick it up take the plow off and deliver the truck to your door in the summer if you want to buy it for 1000.

three shades of blue and the comment of no floors makes me think I don't really need a fourth FJ40. Got any more pics ?

No more pics, I had my camera at my truck, didn't want to walk back and take more pics (that pick is actually zoomed in from the road, then cropped to reduce image size, so it is pretty far away). I can describ it though (as good as pics) Rusty bad from the floor to the rear doors. frame and all underneath rusty, not too bad, but I didn't really poke around too much underneath. opened the doors and hood. engine looked to be leaking pretty bad, and everything seemed to be coated with rust and/or oil. The front doors, hood, didn't seem too rusty, even the front fenders wernt too bad. The plow although tough, was sort of holding on just barely. it had a front split bench, minor ripping in certain areas. Thats all I can think of unless you got some more questions.

Hey,

That beast looks familiar.

I took some pics of that cruiser (just south of Lac La Hache) on my way back to Williams Lake from Vancouver. It was still sitting there a month later, I don't know the rig or the guy.

I stumbled upon this post in my search for JDM HDJ81 Cruiser. Sounds like Outback and Luxury have the best reputations for JDM imports.

Anyway, here are the pictures.

You can sorta see the price on the sign, $2000.

And just for laughs a pic of my minitruck project...

Yeah thats the one. I never bothered calling the guy, I just don't need anymore trucks, especially ones that I can't really use. Thanks for posting the pics, do you have any of the drivers side flinstones floorboards? More pics of mini truck too!
Cheers,
Deny

I saw that one on Thursday on my way to Prince George and wondered what would be the chances of two Blue 40s with a plow for sale. Didn't have time for a closer look then or last night on my return trip.

... just waiting for the day to see your Y60 avatar? Must be a couple of them Safaris around your neck of the woods now. I know there are a 3 or 4 of them around PG and more futher north. I guess if Cruiser Heads can start collecting Trolls then I can start collecting Cruisers - or at least dream of it...

... one day I will have a Piggy, a 76 in addition to an Y61 and a G60 or an L60 or a 40. Oh, and I will have enough room to park them.

What the heck are Y60, G60, and L60 crap, some kind of old suzuki samuris? No Safaris up here, a few punk oil patch kids bought brand new titans to lift up and look preppi. Last Nissan I seen on the trail up here flooded in the bush, got smashed up by the quaders and we had to go in a drag it out to the road. I don't know what cruiser heads you speak of, but obviously they are not real cruiser heads, they must be some kind of wannabes.

Deny, I'd doubt you'd be towing any of these out. But yes, I agree that the Nissans sold here are better suited to pavement than bush.

Y60 Safari (high roof)

Y60 Patrol

G60

L60

There was an L60 in Calgary with a plow on ebay last winter. Too bad I didn't know you wanted a plow, as I would have sold the plow to you for $800 and had an L60 in good condition with very little rust for $1,000. That would have checked one rig off my want to own list.

Sounds like you don't spend much time on the trail. Doesn't matter how big your tires are, or what you drive, every one gets stuck or breaks some time.

I think everyone knows safaris are good trucks. There I said it, now can you please stop bombarding every thread with Nissan stuff. We are all Landcruiser guys (and gals) here and we don't need a little sister tugging on our arms saying hey look at me I'm cool too! All of the above trucks you just posted mean nothing to me. I think they are neat, but thats about it, I would never own one though, much rather have a 60 or 40 series Cruiser anyday of the week. No matter how many times you will post non Cruiser pics it won't change my mind, I am a Cruiser head and I only like Cruisers. I tolerate others, ask all my redneck wheeling buddies up here who keep trying to tell me Fords are the way to go.
Cheers,
Deny
