I really should have kept my camera out on the dash, about all I got for photos this year was my broken spring.

Nice pics Deny & Martin. Post away, I believe that Trails won't post pre-published photos and 45Kevin forgot his camera so he asked to use my photos and/or those from Andre for his articles. No real mission on my part (although I do get a kick out of seeing my photos published, or at least did in a previous pre-'Cruiser life).
Er, I can't see why I'd A: want to drive all the way to Ft.St.John to B: Slap a fellow 'Cruiserhead in the side of the head...
I'll try and light a fire under 45Kevin to see if I can get him to pick pics and let me release the rest. There are a few good'uns amongst the snapshot mix.
Regards from River Shiver country.

Don't worry, I'm just foolin around. I just don't want any of your photos getting regected from the trails, just because I posted a similar one here on mud, for the reasons you mentioned. And I think you should fix A: to say: I can't see why any one in their right mind would want to drive to fort st john, let alone live there.

Really? I can't think of a BETTER reason to drive to Ft St John!
Still bummed I had to miss the Shiver again. Maybe next year...

Nice.
Hey Norm, I've known you now a while now, and the only time I got to go wheeling with you was my very first CC cruiser trip to SS island 8 years ago! Hopefully one day again! I think you got to demand the Shiver days off, or call in sick that time next year!

Deny, can I get my tires back now? There are so many puddles these days... Orange is itching to escape her driveway confines.

Hmm, that's odd. I do average about 3 wheeling days per YEAR, funny we haven't wound up on more trail rides together
One of the crappiest parts of my job is the not being able to plan anything more than a few minutes in advance.
I have March off, maybe I should come up for the kegger

WOOHOOO....
Well I have to say that we're pretty darn excited to be the newest members of the swamp donkey's. Can't wait to see what the upcoming year brings. I gotta admit, that moose rack on the front bumper sure gets people out my way quick (not that my little 3b will ever actually catch anyone on the road)
I'll try to get on here to stay in touch. I'm looking forward to joining in on the antics of the forum

We need proof - I want pictures showing the antler mounted on your truck. Maybe you could put together a montage showing people quaking with fear as they see your moose antler-bedecked truck coming down the road. You know, ala Deny's ingenious artwork found in this thread http://forum.ih8mud.com/ca-bc-peace-...y-kitchen.html

Glad you guys like it, we were happy to see you win, as there are no TLCA clubs out by you. And I'm not sure, but maybe Charla will know, looks like you are our most eastern member!
Cheers,
Deny

Deny's right. We're very happy you guys won it. Now, about being the furthest member E - I'm not sure if you are or not. It depends.... when looking at a map of the Earth, when does what appears to be east of us become west, and likewise, when does stuff west of us begin to be east of us? Is NZ east or west of us? On the map of the world I just looked at it puts NZ on the far east side... but then it also has Japan and Hawaii east as well..... If we 'dug a hole to China' where would we end up? It's been too many years since I last looked a globe.
Anyway, don't ask me. I don't know.
(Just like I still don't know what time zone I live in... half year same as AB, half year same as lower BC )

Ok so its been a bit since I've been around. Yippee...I'm claiming stakes as the most Eastern Member of the swamp donkeys, and if that's not the case then the most eastern Canadian member. I better get more time on this forum so I can become a 'regular'
ps...I'll work on getting those photos of the moose bumper.

River Shiver 2008 Trails article & additional photos
Dear Swamp Donkeys & fellow 'Cruiserheads,
I just received my May / June 2008 copy of Trails. It contains an awesome article from 45Kevin, many thanks to Kevin, the River Shiver committee and all our sponsors that make River Shiver happen.
Now that I know which pics were published and which not, I can now post the rest (follow link below)...
Picasa Web Albums - Jim - RMLCA River S...
I'll get these up on the RMLCA website as soon as I can figure how.
See y'all on the trails sometime soon.
Regards
Jim BTW
P.S. Charla does it again with a very nice Trails cover and I think Deny's truck gets pretty good coverage throughout the magazine this month Have a guess at how many times is Deny's truck depicted in this issue of Trails?

Thanks for sharing Jim, nice pics by the way!
X2 for the committee. Its really nice going for a 4wheeling weekend and not having to worry about setting up a tent or cooking food. Pretty much just have to get dressed and have a good time. s for you all.
I guess two times?
Cheers,
Deny

I'll guess 5x. Think that's how many times Hot Pants Kathan was in one issue a couple years ago.

Guess again
Nope, neither of you are correct. Try again (one is pretty sneaky and you'd have to know it was there)
Thanks for the pic's comments. I still have a ways to go before I make the 'Cruiser calendar. Lots of the RS08 pics are snapshot quality only but that suits the event just fine. When I used to shoot slide film, I was happy if I got 2 perfect shots (quality & composition) out of a 36 film.
Just got back from helping Behemoth60 and Lowenbrau filling a trailer and truck respectively with firewood from Waiparous. 'Twas a fun day for sure. Chainsaws, sunshine & melting ice on the river... The '45 makes for a good skidder.

We have a winner
4 it is (although I'm sure you were just guessing ).
The missing picture is the grey and white picture as the background for the opening page of the RS08 article with Deny's truck in the middle (crease) with 45Kevin leaning against the truck. The other 3 (incl. cover) are more obvious.
Charla, I'll buy you a beer next time you're in town at a meeting or RS09.
