I was just gonna tremclad rust paint and try getting that inside the frame too, then spraying entire thing with rubber or tar undercoating, plus oil inside the frame before I start driving it, but I am not totally sure yet.

Its in the high 20's here too, just the constant thundershower every now and then, plus no fire ban bitches

Well after a few weekends of wheeling, I got back at the frame this week and weekend, got it closer to slide under the truck, just gotta put one more coat of paint, then tar rock coating it. I am only doing the section under the cab, because I still have to add a few things to the frame around the suspension (ie shock towers, and rear air bags).

I had to reweld on a few nuts for the cross member, and then I tied a rag to a wire and went nuts on the inside of the frame by pouring the paint inside.

Then I painted the part under the cab, I used the roller, cause it seemed the can tremclad is way thicker than the spray tremclad. then while it dried I rewelded my tire carrier onto my 42 that fell off last weekend, and went to town underneath the cab. Have to get my rockers on and clean up the underside also before I slide the frame under there.

I noticed the same thing with Tremclad, I started painting my trailer with cans and finished with a roller, made a nice textured finish too. Might even be a tad faster.

+1. I recently did my rock sliders with the brush on stuff - it's way thicker than a spray coat. 2 thick coats with the brush looks like it should hold up really well. Looks good from far, and that's good enough!

Brad's paint arrived. If you'd like to test some out let me know. Otherwise, I'll be hoarding it for O & G.

Did quite a bit on the weekend, finished painting the rest of the frame, cause jim said it would be better to just grind away some of the paint for fabbing on the frame instead of cleaning it again and painting later on in all the little difficult places. Also welded some on the drivers floor, and got the whole driver side ready for rocker install and paint.

while fixing the floor decided to grind the weld off on the bolt restricting pedal depression, using the old fenders for sheet metal, and cleaned up the floor real nice, only to blow my compressor cause I was impatient with the die grinder.

Looks really good now that you're getting stuff in paint. What do you use for rust eater?

OK been busy with hunting, work, and before that summer wheeling. Then as the pics say I built a big shed to store a lot of the crap that is cluttering my shop, plus I just got back from a trip to Saskatoon to pick up a spare roof (which turned into two, a bunch of extra head liner stuff, heater, some new doors........long story) Anyway thanks to Brad Taylor in Saskatoon, plus Brian from ENS, that trip turned out to be real good, and a lot better than just shipping the stuff. Now I will slowly start wrenching and welding on this thing to get it atleast movable by the spring.
Cheers,
Deny

Nice shelves. They look like they'll serve as bunk beds for your Mexican labour.

Ah just so you guys can see I have no room for mexican labour here is a pic of shed half stuffed already. Once I finish this truck, will have to do a lot of organizing, cause I am sure I can get a lot more in there and in my shop. Anyway welded up the rocker panel (a little bit of booger welding!) on the weekend so I took a pic, and last night I did about half an hour of grinding down the boogers as well as sizeing up the other side to start choping and welding the crappy floor (rusty and smashed up).
Cheers,

Right on, looks like some progress again. So you brought two roofs back with you from Sask?

Nice work on the shed. I need one of those for all my junk. I'm tired of finding possum shit all over my stuff in the shelter behind my shop .

Yeah two roofs, just in case I mess one up, still got another to fix it up with. They had a stack of probably 10 of them that the scrapper was picking up the next week.
Yeah the shed is awsome, all the usless crap in the shop taking up space, is now tucked nicely away in the shed. I think I can live like this for quite a while untill I save up enough coin for a large place with a huge shop.
Cheers,
Deny

Fair enough, but you've got land Jim. Eventually you could build whatever you want there.

wow! I'm suprised there was any decent metal in old 'Eduardo'. Well, glad you're putting it to good use. You'll be dismayed to hear I've parked my cruiser for the winter. I've gotta do front and rear seals, side lifter cover and fix some floorboards. Picked myself up an 86 jetta TD that I rebuilt the motor and did a bunch of other stuff to. Still looks like poo though. My friend calls it the Chastity-moblie. No self-respecting girl will come near this heap, but the 900kms/45L cheers me up!

Nice, my parents just bought a VW golf as their second vehicle too. Yes looks like your old "edwardo" will also donate his fuel tank and the holders that the head lights sit in to the work truck. There also may be a windshield in the future as well, plus a bunch of other miscilanious stuff. (not to mention the hood and grill to my dads truck and the 4.11s to Jims truck if he ever gets around to it Thanks again
