Not that specific truck at least.

Sounds like it's revving really fast, and no turbo whistle/dump or smoke. Also sounds like the odd rev limiter stutter? I have like 0 experience with gas 80s but this doesn't sound like an HDT to me... there are a bunch of Japanese vids on the 'tube with guys trialing gas 80s and they tend to rev the bag off 'em. Scares me though!

wonder what the japs infatuation with geolanders is. i always seem to see them on many rigs that go off road...80s especially. obviously, in that muck in mats post...nothing really could have gone through that unless you had like a big block on 44" boggers. that 80 did sound like a gasser though...had more of a tuned revver than a sputtery stump puller sound to it.
that aussie 80 gunning it through that obstacle course is hilarious...although after the 1st 30 seconds i gotta reach for the mute button.

Maybe japanese tires are cheaper/more available in japan. I agree on the engine note sounding gasser.

Likely an 6-8" Tough Dog springs with their foam cell shocks shocks. A lot of the Aussies seem to like Tough Dog on the comp trucks.

I think Stormin' Norman caused more boneheads (like myself) to get 80s than any other individual on the planet! "Give it to 'er Norman!" Classic! My buddy used to say his '07 Hemi 1500 Ram was tougher than my hdj. I showed him this- Fewer comments now.
