Todays Wheeling "AUSSIE LOCKERS"
I hooked up with Greg and Jason today while I was on my Aussie Locker test run. We did Weaver creek, Sunrise Lake and Hale Creek. The Aussie lockers were awesome for the $500. I definitely need to reduce my crawl ratio but the still 70 walked up Sunrise with the new traction. Here are some vid's and pic's from the days adventures. Enjoy

More Pic's
A few more. The V-Rock at Sunrise ....... My nemesis before the Aussie Lockers! It was raining and wet but we still made short work of the V-Crack!

lockers
I'm glad the lockers worked out for you! I've done all those trails with my 80 stock and walked through them, ok I have limited slip but would that make a diff?

That was the first time I've done Weaver and its a neat little trail. I've done the other two several times and my 70 made it up V-Rock without lockers but wasn't happy about it. Taking the sway bar made a big difference as well. Jason's 80 didn't lift a wheel while both Greg and I had a wheel up on the way up and down with the short wheel base 70 series trucks. I was slick with the rain.

That would be the wife. I get to wheel and she gets to geo cache along the way. She's wondering why you haven't found hers at Davis lake, the hard way down can be fun when its been raining. She placed one at Hale Creek yesterday but still has to post it. The locker made the V-Rock much less work for sure.

Those are puddles. Here is a water crossing. Picture of Gary Telford's BJ74 on 34's crossing the Taseko River July 2009 during glacial flood on our Chilcotin trip. I estimate about 38" deep at the deepest part.

Cool shots and vids .
Weaver looks a bit different than when I was there a couple years ago. Much more eroded by the entrance with that stump there. But thats some rock stacking someone left behind .

I don't think he had a snorkle in that crossing. What ammazes me is how much gravel you can collect ontop of your skid plates in water crossings. When I dopped my skid plate this summer to change oils I was showered in gravel that had found its way there. Not sure how it got up in there. Guess I must of been dragging the skid plates in a few crossings.

The higher the stream flow velocity of the river the heavier aggregate the water can keep suspended and move downstream by its current. That is why aggregate can size sorted by the varying water velocities though a river course.
