it was for sale months ago and i emailed a number of times and he never got back to me so i bought my 62 , it was for $5000 back then , he finaly emailed me back about a week after i bought the 62 ,doh !

but hey i wonder how much lower the guy would go , it would have to have a rock solid frame or it wouldnt be worth squat !

Thats just a tad more then I paid for Elsie.Solid frame and that was about the only thing solid.I guess it all depends on where you want to end up?

My 40 has a rock solid frame. And a rock solid motor. And a rock solid drive line, with custom frame lubrication system.

Body...not so rock solid.

Yotawheeler... looks like your trying to start a LC ranch.
What's up with some LC owners needing more than three in their yard, sheez!

well...technically i only own 1 1/2 cruisers myself...the others are my dads, i have a 40 and me and my dad went into a 45 project together. i would love to drive the 40 every day but its a FJ so $$$$ in the tank for the 100 k every day to and from school.

toynut: do you know this guy or something? my dad had sent him a few e-mails when it was 5k but then hadnt heard much back so we assumed it had sold. you know the best way to get ahold of him?

Just sent him an e-mail...should he ever answer, anyone able to take a look at it? Would be fun to be able to drive one while the other is being restored

well toynut i think you're safe as far as getting into trouble is concerned, cause i just opened up a whole new can of worms for myself...went and looked at it and ill be adding to the cruiser "herd". gunna be picking it up on tuesday or wednesday

pbg: apperently he just drove it in the summer for the past few years (thats what he told me)....that could be why it looks like it hasnt moved for a few years

Oh! I see that soft top looks like one Fab-tech used to sell . could you see out of the windows fairly well . did it fit tight ?

the windows on it were kinda crappy....the top needs to be replaced, zippers dont work very well and the you cant really see out of the windows very well. i have a buddy here on the island who can make me a new top in pretty short order if i were to ask. i also have a spare hard top in my yard so im not too worried about that....the fit seemed to be alright though.
