Looks like a good turn-out. We've got to finalize plans for the camping after the Cruiser Day event.

Coastal cruiser monthly meeting

COASTAL CRUISER MEETING JULY 10, 08

Heads-up people, CC meeting Thursday, 7:45 p.m. at
EBI shop at 81 Moray St., Port Moody. No smoking in shop, thank you.

Meet for suds, spuds, and indigestion at the Golden Spike Pub at 6:00 p.m. :

Club meeting Agenda:

-Tall tales and tears re the Roche lake trip. Everybody got
their rigs and camping gear cleaned up by now?
Safety message re eye goggles from Mat R. And Craig
will say a few words about hydraulic brakes.

-Cruiser Days last minute details? T-Shirts? Everybody got the posters distributed?
Our event is listed in Toyota Trails page 40. Times and signs?
Decide on camping destination, Trail Master, and overall wheeling plans.

-Whipsaw August Civic holiday weekend planning.
Saturday, August 4 to Monday August 6. Who is going up
early on Friday the 3rd? Any ideas on trails to explore out of
Lodestone Lake? Who is going? Rendezvous places and times?
Prepare for heat and dust. Dry Ice a better coolant?

-New members and other business. Bill has the new July/August
Toyota Trails magazine for any new members signing up to our club.
CC dues owing? Other business? 4WDABC news? Radio courses?
Road closures? IVOAC activities? Vehicle pooling to save fuel costs?
Wheeling Passengers are NOT trail bitches: they are NAVIGATORS!

-Raffle -

-Meeting to be adjourned by 9:45 so McTague and Millson can get to
beddie-byes.

Ice was a big issue this past trip, at least for me anyways. I know Phil was even running very low on dry ice. Glad I have that console fridge in the '81, came in very handy.
I plan to save some pennies and buy an Engle/Arb fridge....one day.

You'll need more than pennies to buy one of those mothers! By the time you get the fridge, insulated cover, rolling track, and taxes, you are looking at a $1000. bill.
Still, what is the price of food poisoning from food gone bad in the heat?

Depends what model you get. ARB only sells the one size, but the Engles come in all shapes/sizes/dollar amounts.
Engel Australia - Portable Fridge-Freezers

And the ARB is just an Engle with an ARB sticker on it, AFAIK, so it's more of course.

Okay so after looking at some of that, the ARB seems to come in cheaper for some weird reason...

okay..enough Hijacking..I'll start a new thread.

Sometimes you can pick up an Engles at a decent price from a used marine shop like mariners exchange in Steveston.
