Correct me here

Except for the diesel side of the equation, wouldn't it just make more sense to buy an FJ Cruiser, the build quality should be about the same?

Is there more to a prado than just the diesel you can get from Japan and the body style?

Shouldn't be any tougher than a 4runner, right?

I can see a true landcruiser (70,80,90,100 series) at $14,000 used, but why a prado?

Thanks

Now thats the question.

some 80 series diesels go for 14k.

I think I heard crushers on here say that prado's were big mark up, they sell cheap in Japan so lots get imported. But sold high here.

I think the prado is neat truck. But before you buy one read the threads in the 70 section and diesel section.....too many blow their heads.

Just type into the search, "lJ78, and 2l-te" soo many heads gone wrong...

I like his quote of "importing into the USA would be no problem"

The purchaser will have a bit of a suprise when crossing the boarder.

if it was registered in BC, the NEW vin would be 16 digits and could be slipped in I am told.... no experience with this myself..

Many JDMs have slipped into Washington. Then onto to other states. So it CAN happen.
