| Dan And Maries nwe years resolution No more New years Camping alone. the first year we went Marie lost her wallet.
and this year..........
So I went up to Chehails north on sunday night with the GF For a new years get away. No problems getting in. Good fire clear night. but the morning sucked. Dead battery, and stuck at 33km. So we pack up some beer and beef jerky and start our treck. it took us around 5 piss pooring wet hours to reach chehalis south. walked a littler further and just Caught a truck turning around. We flagged them down and they are my new heroes. They gave us a ride to the sasquatch in where I cad coffee with booze and a nice hot meal. I called up My roomate DanO to bring me a battery and an hour and a half later he showed. Back up the trail we go. get there install the new battery truck fires up. home by 930. happy new year
Dan

| I hate dead batteries when you are out alone... I've gone throw that 3 or 4 time, but have always been lucky and was able to roll start...
I was thinking of going to Slaquet hot springs for New Years but didn't. |

| Ouch indeed. Sorry to hear that Dan.
I bought myself one of those jumper packs for travelling, those things are real handy in situations like that.

| So that wasnt you that I read about in the paper, search and rescue looking for some people up the Norrish Creek FSR?
Glad to hear you made it out okay, I had a long hike like that years ago after disentegrating my clutch at the top of a mountain in about 4 feet of snow.
I got one of those recharger/converter things for christmas as well..although the fine print says it will only boost a 4 or 6 cylinder...doh! |

That doesn't make much sense. Mine isn't a recharder rather just a jumper pack and alternate source of 12V power. I have found it useful for many jumps without any need for recharging the unit.

| That'll teach ya, never go alone. Walking out sucks. And you're lucky the"band' didn't find your truck while you were gone.
