Trail Repairs West of Rocky On November 7th

Well this is a go for sure. I have aquired a permit from the SRD for this action and have their support. Plan is to do some work at the bottom of the Baseline Lookout trial. What we are doing is repairing some trenched areas at the bottom as well as a large mud hole. We are repairing this because there are an excessive amount of bypass trails causing damage to the area. The bypass trails will be blocked off by large deadfall trees that we have to bring in.

We will be leaving from the Grandview Stage Resort at 9:30 am Saturday November the 7th.

Things you should bring.

-proper clothing for winter weather conditions
-proper footwear for working
-eye protection (safteyglasses)
-food for yourself as well as drinks (please no alcohol)

Things we need and you can bring if you have them are have access to them

-trucks with trailers (hauling deadwood logs)
-chainsaws
-shovels
-winches or vehicles with winches

Things we have

-We have rock from the Fish Creek Quarry
-We have heavy equipment to aid us in repairs

We just need volunteers to come out and make this happen. Hope to see you out there.

Thanks,

John

I'd like to repay some of your hospitality, but I'll be down in California next weekend.

Is there anyone coming out to this from this site? We are also wheeling on sunday as a reward if you feel like camping overnight.

Good luck to you and the trail crew this weekend.
Cheers.

Repairs will resume on the 14th since we didn't get done. Meet at the Grandview Stage Resort at 9 am. Probably doing some wheeling when repairs are finished.

Thanks,
John

If I've recovered from the return drive, I'll try to make it down.
