I've never been camping out of my truck before and really want to.. This may be my last chance before snow falls. And I really want to go wheeling this weekend; It's been almost a week since I've been out, much too long.

Would anybody we willing to tag along if I were to head out mid weekend?

What I was thinking was if John would like to lead a day trip, we could meet up somewhere predetermined and easy to find for that (I don't even own a cell phone) on Sunday. If we were to meet at noon or so, that would leave time to get out from Edmonton and maybe camp over to Monday.

That sounds like a plan. Now we need to plan a plan.

I would think Sunday, as that would leave a day to deal with any carnage before the work week. I'll get a hold of Eric and Karol tonight and see what they are thinking.

Well here is the plan, well one of them anyways. Meet at the Grandview Stage Resort (google it) at noon on sunday as time suggested by Curtis. I would personally like to go out earlier but let me here your suggestions. For those of you who would like to stay the night I have a camping location in mind. As well as wheel more on Monday. Let me know what you guys think we will be doing trails in the Praire Creek/ Falls Creek area.

I'd be game for earlier (say 10 AM) but anyone coming down would need time.... if anyone is coming down.

Here's the map for the resort... you're talking about the general store/gas station we met at last time? Is it at the corner with the star? If you PM me your cell number, we can touch base before we head out (around 4 tomorrow).

John, we'll be out of touch pretty soon. If we aren't talking to you, we'll be at the Grandview Stage store/gas station at 11 on Sunday Morning.

Hope to see some trucks out there,
Curtis.

Sounds like you guys had a blast. I really wish I could have made it out, I ended up getting tied up all weekend with other stuff, and on top of that my brake master blew on Saturday afternoon.

I look forward to seeing these pics. Did it end up being a day trip, or did you guys camp?

Spencer

I've got more pics and a few vids... but here's the good stuff. I trust John will tease us with some of the shots from the "Shit Your Pants" hill day, these are mostly from today. Big thanks to John for leading us out and giving us a great 2 days

this gives you a bit of an idea on the hills..... they were steep enough that I was riding the torque convertor's stall speed on quite a few in first low.... and on one I had to winch up the last 70' cause my rims were spinning in my tires

Curtis's Cruiser got hungry for flesh and was trying to catch Eric and his dogs.

i just washed my truck...
think i'm banned for life from that car wash, lol.
only a few minor repairs so far. steering needed some wrench time and tire fixed it self, till it gets cold and won't hold air.
but,it was an awesome trip and totally worth the effort.
i made a joke that the first wheeling trip of the summer was labor day long weekend, at least we got out.

and a big thanks to john for guiding, and excellent spotting when things got tense.

got to get ready for next time.

i realized it was good that i put the k&n filter on or i would have swamped my air filter, maybe a couple of times.
