Well I've done quite a bit to mine. Last spring I sand blasted, body work, re-built the motor (sbc), brand new wiring harness, new steering column and box, new Auto Meter gages, and then I ran out of money...... I'm planning this spring to be done and road worthy, my wife is pumped about driving it again.

These are before and after shots from last spring.

A couple of my truck.

So far I call it the Wobble Wagon.... a more (in)appropriate name will come once the worked head is dropped on.

89 FJ 62, ARB bullbar with an 8274 in it, upgraded headlights, extreme valve body in the tranny, OME springs, soon to be an Aussie Locker in the back, and I am working over a spare head/intake set-up to swap on once the weather warms up.

This summer up near Fort St. John.

I also have a rust-free 62 with my name on it vacationing in central California until I have a chance to drag it back up this way (no powertrain in it).

The first pic is my HJ61 at Pismo in 2004. It looks pretty much the same today except its sitting on 33s instead of 35s.

The second pic is from when I lived in Edmonton and owned a bunch of 40 series in addition to the 61. I still own the 78BJ40 on the left, the 77 FJ40 and 82 BJ42 are now living somewhere in Calgary.

Hey I am the owner of the Purple People Eater which is a 1972 FJ40.
I bought it with the present 33's, but I have done a conversion to a H42 transmission, OME suspension with grease-able shackles / pins, Downey header, rebuild carb, Kaymar rear bumper / tire carrier, Viar onboard air, & a ARB locker, roll bar with single jump seats.

Recently my dad purchased an 1986 HJ60 with 485,000+ KM. It is going to be a veggy oil guinea pig.

This is a start......................By the way the pic is without shocks, front driveshaft, no bumper, busted turn signals, no alignment, loose driveshaft bolts, to say the least it was sketchy but couldnt help it. Getting it all squared away now

Funny, my truck was known as an 86' through all its life, even on the original bill of sale from the dealership, but the vin runs as an 87' too.

My BJ42

As the new guy, I thought I'd post some photos of my cruiser. It's an 82 BJ42 brought over from Australia by the previous owner. Very minimal surface rust (on the body) and an all-original steel tub, aside from the right rear quarter. The only problem it had when I bought it was that the glow plugs weren't operating and that turned out to be just a dirty connection from the relay. Dirty connections and confusing wiring seem to be a theme with this one, as I'm sure it is with most old cruisers.

I'm planning on removing the 'roo-bar and mounting a winch, as well as incorporating some fog lights. There's also a lot of electrical work still to be done, and I have to mount the jump seats in the rear.

That all being said, if anyone has a front bumper for sale, or a set of seatbelts that would work with the rear jumpseats, I'd certainly be interested. Or if anyone wants to buy a big kangaroo bar.
