I figured that maybe I should post something up here. Well my first Landcruiser experience is going as well as can be expected. Bought the truck sight unseen (stupid) got truck home and it didnt really run all that smooth. NP I thought a good tuneup and she'll be purring along- well after mechanic looks at it- no love on cylinder one- can it be driven probably- how long will it last? could be a week, could a year or more. Now my mind starts thinking about why I am getting this truck ... to take the family to places that no ordinary vehicle can go and do it reliably and safely- I am not digging the uncertainty of it all. Well on my way to mechanics to drop car off I see a BJ73 at the light- thats odd I think to myself. Right hand drive and all. I follow it to same shop I am dropping my 60 off at... turns out it is a mudder and and devout cruiserhead who will remain nameless to protect the innocent. Anyhow it turns out he has a special motor he was going to use to put into one of his rigs before he caught the deisal bug. We make a deal and then the Colonel is getting a heart transplant. I dont want to divulge too much about said motor until I see it installed. Truck is getting all buttoned up, H55f is getting installed, brakes, axles, seals, steering, paint, seats, steering wheel, dash cap, tires, etc,etc,etc- he will be done in about 4 weeks or so. This is one f***ing expensive sickness.

Yes it is expensive but, wow what a job you have done. Absolutly spotless and with the 5 speed will be a true delight to wheel with the family. Really pumped for you and getting to see the better than new 60.
