The OME lift brings the front up to an acceptable level. Without it, the front was feeling pretty heavy.

IPF J01 lights were from my Land Rover that I previously owned. They were just about the only thing on it that worked!

Off With the Old!

Posted 03-16-08 at 09:23 PM by Flyingdog5000
The old bumper comes off. I was shocked to find out that only two small screws were still holding the thing on. The impact to the corner had broken each attachment point between the two ends of the bumper!

My son, Ethan, trimming the frame horns. Note the line drawn to guide the saw on the right side.

After trimming, you'll need to touch up the bare metal with a shot of spraypaint.

This is the damage done. The sheetmetal is going to be repaired using the paintless dent removal process.

The 02+ ARB Combo Bar unwrapped. Deciding on the ARB was pretty easy. I had one of these on a 2000 LR Discovery that I owned until I got tired of the shop putting more miles on it than I did.

02+ ARB Bumper Install on '99 100

Posted 03-16-08 at 09:12 PM by Flyingdog5000
My 1999 LC got into a little altercation and I decided it needed a little more armor to defend its honor. Not to suprising, but I decided to take the insurance payoff and replace the damaged bumper with an ARB. After reading several of the posts on this list, I'm going with the 02+ ARB Combination Bumper.

My son and I will be doing this ourselves, so I'm going to post photos of the process for anyone interested in learning from my mistakes!
