Need advice

This is my 1st time on this site and i'm hoping some wise person or persons can help me out. I'm looking at a 1987 FJ-60 with 130,000 on it . it has a perfect body and is very clean inside and out, a 1 owner. The owner is asking $6,000. It looks like a good deal to me but would like to hear from people who have a better grasp of FJ-60 values

Wow! Didn't know there were any of those still left. I sold my mint '84 back in 2000 for $5000, and it had 230,000 miles on it, and the original clutch. Guess what I'm really saying is there is no hard and fast rule for the price of an old truck. But, $6000 doesn't seem out of line for an exceptionally clean vehicle. Rust? Check out the motor, how are the tires, etc. Make sure you get all of the maintenance records from the owner. He does have them, doesn't he? Good luck. Ned
