Teocali sucked because the downhill was so loose AND steep as to be unride-able. Loose is fine. Steep is fine. But in combination like they were last week, no way. The powder was so deep you'd hit rocks and roots 6" down that you couldn't see. Some parts you didn't even hit bottom. There were parts where I was accelerating downhill with both front and rear locked.

Teo's uphill was challenging (but fun). In fact, a local pro caught me at the trail turn-off (after an awesome dirt road climb) and said, "This next part's a stinger." So I tried to follow him for a while with my sea level lungs. The only redeeming thing about my climb up the single-track 'stinger' was that I stayed close enough -- long enough -- to see that bad-ass walk it for a few hundred feet.

Doctor's Park was by far the best trail last week. Mind you, it has a little loosey/rocky/steepey at the end too, but it's the kind that's actually fun to ride. The downhill banked singletrack is amazing. Superbuff. I'll try to get some video posted before long and post it.

Thanks, CB! See you next year.

Quite a ride schedule. You must not have kids. You must have started Reno from down low to do Walrod or did you do Wolrod and then go over 409.5 to Brush Creek? If you did the latter then you are badass. I love Teo BTW, I know it's not one of the best in the area, I just love the punishment it dishes out. I did not do one of those rides this year, next year though watch out!

Lol. I have three little kids and an awesome wife who gave me a hall pass to go play with the boys. All we did was ride, eat, drink, and sleep.

Re: RenoFlagBearDeadman: We were staying in Cement Village (CB South), so we rode out from the house and did RFBD. On the way back we did the Walrod Cutoff for a few extra punishing miles.

Maybe I'll see you on the trail next summer.
