trans world expedition vehicle of choice?
An interesting article about this guys decision to leave everything behind and go around the world and some of the decisions/challenges he faces. After researching it, he chose the below vehicle and tells why:

I know you like to get the locals to take you to their favorite local watering hole/restaurant. If you pulled up in either of those I dont think you'd have to do much convincing...

Best of luck to this guy
This trip sounds pretty awesome-he's got a lot of good ideas with outfitting the LC.
Some things I'm not sure of..
1) Is this dude going to have any firearm what so ever? A knife isn't going to cut it. I'd be carrying a shot gun and high powered rifle. Better to have them and not need em, than to be caught without.
2) Go through Nigeria,Pakistan and Columbia? In my book that's borderline crazy. I only hope the police in any of these countries aren't corrupt, because they certainly are in Pakistan & Afghanistan. I would drive around Unless he's going to Columbia for certain reasons..
3) The dude that did this trip before had a buddy, this dude is alone. I only hope that he's got some great techy tools, communication and gps location equipment.
I'll look forward to seeing this dude's adventure as he cruises around.
