Hey Bruno. It was great getting to meet you face to face yesterday. Made it back to Tucson with no trouble. Now I just have to figure out how to get that axle out of the back of my pickup. Think I will need to buy some friends some beer.
I look forward to seeing that '80 after it is painted.

Scott,
Thanks it was great meeting you also. Best of luck with the axle and your new job. I'll drop you a note the next time I'm in Tucson. I always have time for a cold cerveza! I'm starting the stripping process next weekend and should be done with paint by end of September. Nothing fancy just back to the original 621 Rustic Green. I pulled the diamond plate corners off and just don't understand why the PO even put them on in the first place. The holes from the sheetmetal screws are worse than the rust in the corners. I've got a 2"x 2" patch to weld in on the pass side and about 30 screw holes to weld over.

By all means, give me a call the next time you are in Tucson. I will send you my cell number again in email if you don't still have it.
I have actually been spending a lot of time in Phoenix lately. Probably will be for another week or so. Sort of a long commute each day, but I am getting paid for it. :-)

Just met Rhino. Great dude. He came and picked up some old 55 doors I had. I'm looking forward to hooking up @ Sonic, and doing some of the runs...
I've got a Blue FJ60 w/ 33 x 10.5 BFG k/m's. Mostly stock except add-a-leafs and a HEI. It's a DD, so I can't really beat it up. But, I'm itching to take my daughters out on the trails...See you around.

You said something about a sycamore run. Have you guys already done it or is that just an idea at this point?

Just an Idea that I've been kicking around. I haven't been up there in over 10 years and would prolly end up lost... but that always makes for a fun weekend.

Phil, that was my plan exactly. I was thinking lower to upper, camp all night at upper then back down to lower in the morning. Or something like that. I think the last time I was out there was more like 15 or 20 years ago. I think I was went camping out there with my dad the last time. Holy shit that was a long time ago.

Not to sure on the camping thing. Kinda the reason I have to duck out of the first trail cleanup. Being only 4 weeks out I really need to stay close to home and reachable via phone. I promised my daughter that we'd go camping soon. My mom and uncle have about 60 acres between them just south of Ashfork and I'd really like to take her up there for a weekend after the baby is born. It'd be nice to have the 60 ready by then. I got 4 weeks to really hit her hard. I need some friggin inspiration.
Yeah Clay, just wait till you see his pig. It's so friggin clean. The colors aren't quite stock but it is one seriously bad ass ride.
