Northern AZ service

Hi, just acquired an 84 fj60... does anyone know a mechanic in the Northern AZ area? (I live in Sedona.) Thanks much.

Hey Sung, congrats on the new ride, and welcome! I live in Cottonwood and have taken my 62 to a few different places. What do you need worked on?

Also, maybe post over in the Copper State Cruisers folder. It gets a bit more action.

Hi! The driver's seat belt is broken... I received the part from Toyota, need someone to install it. Otherwise the truck is in good shape. I think I need to replace the shocks, b/c I will be driving down a 10mile dirt road probably weekly... thanks for any tips!

I've been told to avoid Wind Dust in Sedona. People I know have had bad experiences with them.

In Cottonwood, I've been to Knudsen's for brakes, and A&B for an oil change. Knudsen's was very professional, but pricey. A&B seemed pretty knowledgeable as well, more of a famil-run operation. They pointed out all my leaks!

I think Big O does a lot of suspension stuff. Might be an option for your shocks.

Howdy! Welcome aboard. I know it's a bit of a drive, but try Iron Springs 4wheel drive in Prescott. They have done work for me and my brother for over 25 years. They work on anything, but they do have a good feel for Landcruisers. I had my tanny and transfer case totally rebuilt there, years ago, and they are still working great. John

Sedona? Never Heard of it...hehe...I used to live up in Flagstaff. A buddy of mine owns a import shop up there and has worked on 76 FJ40 a couple of times. He is fair and squared away mechanic. His place is called Ricks Imports...it is right off of 66 on the east side of Flag, in the sunny side area. Also there is 4x4 shop on the east 66 that works on nothing but 4x4's. Can not remember the name of it but it is really easy to find. Good luck and if you are looking for a really cool quick trail to cruise try out Broken Arrow, lots of fun!!

I live up here in Flagstaff and would be willing to lend a hand sometime with the shocks and seatbelt for a low charge. PM me if interested.

For this stuff, you can't go wrong with Mike (Hondo)

If you need any serious mechanical work, there is a place up here that always has cruisers and other Toyota products around it. It's at the NW corner of Steves Blvd and Route 66.
R & A Import Auto Parts & Repair
2932 E Route 66
(928) 526-2851

I've never used them, but I have only heard good things.
