August is going to be hot. Fire restrictions and forests should be re-opened if we plan on running in the second half of August, thanks to the monsoon.

My idea was.....Payson-Mogollon Rim area.

Payson meet.
Take a dirt road scenic way into Strawberry.
Strawberry to Rim Road (FH300)
Travel Rim Road east while taking some side roads (4-wheeling)
(I know some side trips to killer camp sites you could keep in mind for your own trip)
Return via Hwy 260 (with an optional stop at the Creekside Restaurant in Christopher Creek)

This route could get interesting if rains come. FUN!

That sounds like a great plan to me. Will Becky lead the run? I say pick a date and tell everyone to be there. I will make sure Walt is there or, if he can't make it, I will borrow his Cruiser and come myself. Ha! Now he will hide the keys.
