new toy
Things ARE looking up...
I got me a new toy this weekend. 86 Mini Truck, engine is good, tranny is good, just needs a new body.
And then I "found" this...
So the plan is to take the guts of Exhibit A and stuff them into Exhibit B, add a front toy axle (may already have a deal on one), throw a tube chassis out the rear, convert it propane, add a couple "creature" comforts (read corbeau and sound) and then go beat the piss out of it. I'm HOPING that it'll be done by January so I can take it down to Texas...being that I picked it up yesterday and I'm getting a lot of advice on it and assistance...I think it'll be done by then...now to find a trailer to tow it on behind the FJC...

Congratulation. I would love to have something like this for my daughter to drive. Maybe you will let her take a spin in it when you finish. Keep us updated on the progress.

You mean you wont drive it to Texas in January. All you need is googles and a bandana.

i am telling you to go for it. It would be a better story that the 45 coming from California to Iowa. You could do a trails article. Get sponsored by Templeton and fill up the flat bed.
