Newbi Wants to run Crisco???
OK so with the price of diesel on the rise I want to start running veggie oil. So the question is what do I need to do?
I have read elsewhere on mud that I can run up to 25% crisco in the summer and 10% in the winter with out any modifications. Is this true? I have herd that fuel lines may break down running this stuff. Do I need to worrie about fule filters pluging up? I m running a 1990 HDJ81 with a 1HD-T Motor. This is my daily driver and I can't afford to have it down, so if there is any risk I won't do this..... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks James |

You have got a variety of info there. Check around for the difference between biodiesel and running vegetable oil, they are very different. Either requires some modification, whether to the engine, or to the fuel before it goes in the tank.
