Cleaner engine oil with B100?

One thing I have not seen discussed anywhere, (maybe I'm just looking in the wrong spot) is whether or not running B100 makes any difference to the amount of soot collected in the engine oil.

As biodiesel is cleaner burning, with more detergent properties etc., etc., Doesn't it follow that there will be less carbon or soot to be collected in the oil. Maybe not immediately but at least after running it for a while, say a couple of oil changes?

Has anyone had any oil analysis done comparing dinodiesel to biodiesel, or have any other ideas regarding oil change intervals?

OK It would seem I have this the wrong way around according to the following I found on the National Bio Diesel Board's website www.biodiesel.org

Engine Oil Dilution: Blends higher than B20 may cause a larger amount of unburned fuel to make its way past the piston rings and into the oil pan. This is due to the slightly higher viscosity and the slightly higher density of biodiesel vs. petrodiesel. High levels of biodiesel present in the engine oil may polymerize over time and cause serious engine oil sludge problems. Engine oil change intervals may need to be shortened significantly if using high blends of biodiesel. The viscosity and density of B20 and lower blends are very similar to that of the pure petrodiesel, and this phenomenon has not been problematic with blends of B20 or lower so no changes in engine oil intervals are needed with B20 or lower.

I would still be interested to know if anyone has had any oil analysis done comparing usage of dinodiesel to biodiesel.

Having read your first post I would have agreed with your thoughts. I have nothing to add as far a an oil analysis. sorry....

However, I do run 100% synthetic engine oil with a additional by-pass filter and don't run extended oil change schedules.

I know in the old days before detergent oils, at oil change they would drain oil and fill with diesel. Then a five minute run to desludge the engine.
