Mountainside Offroad Park

Smokey Mountain Cruisers: Mountainside Offroad Park Gadsden, AL Sept. 13-14

Wanted to bring this to everyone's attention since it's taking place here in Bama. Smokey Mountain Cruisers is not a TLCA chapter. It's a group from this area that met over on the FJ Cruiser Forums. Most are Toyota owners with a few others sprinkled in.

I know of 4 or 5 guys from Alabama who own FJC's that are not members of a TLCA chapter so this would be a good opportunity to meet them and maybe pick up some new members for our chapter.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Do any of the guys in the huntsville area get together for trail rides? If so let me know a friend and I would like to tag along sometimes if ok with the group. I have a 60 I'm working on and he has a 40 project yet to start.

I work on the Arsenal, so I'm around H'ville all the time.

I'm at RSA as well. PM me with your email. I try to hit the trails as much as I possibly can!

Thanks for the link. I wish I could make it up, but the weekend is already locked down.

Better take some clean underwear for that place. It's nothing but straight up solid rock face hillclimbs. I do mean really steep hillclimbs. The A-Trac should work well on those, but the pucker factor is off the chart and if you mess up, you'll be rolling multiple times. There is also very limited parking, but it's still a good time.

I sold my FJC so I'll be in my '73 FJ40. I'm locked with 37's so I'm pretty excited about checking this place out!

I've heard that one rock face called Rev Limit or something like that is pretty insane.

Thanks for the input!

Good chance I'll be there so you're more than welcome. I've still got a few things I'd like to do to it but I'm sure that's everyone's story!

Thanks! Looking for to it.

Yeah, I have an ongoing to do list. It usually doesn't agree with my budget though.

Looks sweet. Why is it that every new wheeling park gets farther and farther north and farther away from me.

Not too many rocks to crawl down in the wire grass part of the state...or central alabama for that matter.
