Help: 6 lug toyota wheels that dont fit my taco

i've got some steel six lug wheels in a six pointed star pattern, that are invariably stock toyota wheels. I even have the center caps for two of them, as I believe they came from a 4x4 truck, but they will not go on my 1998 taco. They bind (tire wise) on the front at the upper "a" arm, and (wheel wise) from what I can tell, on the calipers. What do these wheels go to?

They are 15" wheels and look very similar to the 16" wheels? 15" wheels bind on my 3rd gen 4runner.

That's because most 4x4 4Runners came with bigger brakes. All Tacoma's came with the smaller brakes, and 95-00 Tacomas came with 15" rims from the factory. If they're 15" 4Runner ir Tacoma rims, should fit. Pics would help.

i found a pic or two online of eighties runners running them. so maybe that solves the problem, but still if tacos use smaller calipers than runners, I'm still a little confused.

I don't know if I've seen them before. Are you sure they're Toyota rims?
