Do I have warped rotors?

When I bring the truck to a stop while moving slowly (approaching a traffic light or driveway) the truck has a almost unnoticeable cyclic and short change in speed (i.e it feels like the brakes are being released and pressed) This happens at very low speeds. Is that a sign of warped rotors?

Yes that can be a sign. If you have a dial indicator you can check them yourself for warpage. If t here is enough brake left you could have them turned.

With warped rotors, the symptoms are usually shaking feeling, not pulsating. I'm guessing either calipers or brake cylinder. Maybe lines? Don't know. Do a visual check for leaks and such.

Uh... no.

brake rotor warpage (out of parrallell or runout) can make all kinds of shakes, pulsations, etc.

Of the warped rotors I've had, none have had the pulsating sensation. I've maybe had half a dozen or so on cars and trucks. All have been basic shaking feeling.

any luck finding something yet TEPUI?
When you lightly apply the brake and it shakes/pulsates or whatever exactly we are all talking about, does it pull to one side or another, does the steering wheel spin left or right? This may point you towards the proper side to inspect first.
Nothing says that your rear drums are round either!

Duane, it doesn't really pull to a side in particular (or maybe I have not really noticed it) I'm taking it in for a full revision at a friend's shop next week. I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks,
